Suits are taking over the streets this summer. From morning to late evening, there is no other outfit so chic, so fashionable and so hot right now. Sexy hot, to be clear. And the best thing about the summer suit? You can wear it anywhere at anytime. Especially the modern suits. Yes, you read it, a suit got an update, and we love it.

FORMAL STREETWEAR

You must have heard the fashion buzz already. And saw it too. Yes, the formal streetwear, or should I rather say the suits mania on the streets? Don’t know what I mean? In short, suits are looking way more chic than used too. And it seems like that almost any duo, either a blazer and a skirt, either a blazer and any kind of pants, is a suit now.

THE NEW SUITS

Surely tailoring is still on point. However, it’s slightly different than we are used to. As a matter of fact, there are five different types of suits that really pop out. The Feminine suit, the Relaxed suit, the Deconstructed suit, the Belted suit, and the one that speaks of the time the most, the Feminist, also known as the Power Suit.

5 TYPES OF SUITS

1# THE FEMININE

Forget about the classic sand skirt suit your mother used to wear to work. The feminine suit is so chic this season you will want to wear it instead of the little black dress and even instead of your sexy clubbing dress, too. The skirts have become shorter or not, but are certainly embellished with ruffles, plisse, lace or splits.

The Romantic Feminine Suit – OFF-DUTY Skirt Suit

Check my previous blog post and see how I wear my mini skirt suit out and about from morning to the next morning, out of the streets, of course, over here. Ps. While thinking about how good I styled my mini skirt suit and wore it with the mules, don’t forget to read the rules of modern SUIT CODE, too.

2# RELAXED SUIT

Don’t get over excited. This doesn’t make the blazer and jeans a suit when matched together. Sure, the modern suit doesn’t give a F* on matching, but it certainly takes a great attention on the tailoring. In this case the soft tailoring. Ps. don’t say I didn’t warn you, once you try the relaxed suit, there is no way back. I assure you, you will fall in love with that feeling when walking around in this suit. I mean who can resist the nonchalance French feeling? Now all you need to do is to book your plane ticket to France and infiltrate with the chic Parisiennes. Surely, check my previous blog post on how to wear the relaxed suit (here), first.

3# DECONSTRUCTED SUIT

This suit is all about a deconstructed proportions and deconstructed shape of the suit. So far that the suit can be completely overruled by the details like the cape, splits, and sexy silhouette. In short, the focus is on the asymmetry and sexiness.

Ps. You already saw me wearing the deconstructed suit on my Instagram, so be sure to check my suiting game there, too.

4# FEMINIST – POWER SUIT

Unlike the deconstructed suit, the feminist is all about sharp tailoring and monochrome. From black to white, pink and red, you will find the feminist, power suit in any colour. However, nothing shows off more power than a chic black suit. Or who would think,  a clean, white suit can be so powerful. The power of white is certainly underrated.

Be sure to read more on the power suits in my previous two blog posts in which I conquered the streets of Ljubljana in white and black feminist suits.

5# BELTED SUIT

Seems like the corset mania, you know corset over the tee, has moved on the blazer, too. And pinching our waist was never so up on point before. The corset or even a thin belt makes a drama, breaks the uniformity of the suit and bring up the alluring appeal by creating a feminine silhouette.

Ps. You will see me wearing the belted suit on my Facebook, so be sure to check my suiting game there, too.

HOW TO WEAR THE MODERN SUIT

Finally, few words on how to style and wear suits this summer. And I mean only a few words because it’s really simple to wear a modern suit this summer. In short, mix or match. Or don’t. But be sure to have fun while showing your power and attitude. Because this is what the modern suit is all about.

Ps. Browse through the galleries and click on the items to put together your favourite summer suit.

Thank you Hena! Suits are a must in a professional world. Luckily this doesn’t mean we can’t look fashionable in the suit.
