Houndstooth suit is the IT suit of the season for the boss ladies. Everyone knows that. Houndstooth makes you look rich, it makes you look powerful and put together. Furthermore, it makes you look like you are walking straight to your goal without looking sideways or back. Not to mention stylish and fashionable. Yes, there are many reasons to wear a houndstooth suit this season. But are any of those reasons why the houndstooth suit is selling so well and so fast? Wear a houndstooth suit as I do and you will find out!

Truth be told, I was waiting for the Sale Season to begin to share this outfit post since a houndstooth suit can be quite expensive. But it turned out that no one really cares how expensive it can get. My houndstooth suit got almost sold out at the starting price.

DOES EVERYONE CHIC WANT A HOUNDSTOOTH SUIT FOR FALL 2023? IT SEEMS SO!

There are only a few houndstooth blazers left, and only a pair of two houndstooth pants that you can buy now. Yes, a houndstooth suit is that popular this season. Well, thinking better, we shouldn’t be that surprised. After all, houndstooth print is the print of the season. And Instagram explorer page is full of it.

Not even polka dots and white floral print is more popular for fall 2023 than this dashing print.

Anyways, less talking, more shopping. If I don’t stop writing about how fashionable houndstooth print is this season, you won’t finish reading this post on time.

HOUNDSTOOTH BLAZER

My houndstooth blazer comes from Sandro Paris (see here – shop here or here or maybe with a discount here). Yes, it was pricy, but luckily not as pricy as Balmain houndstooth blazer. The quality of this blazer is great, though. Just check my shoulders? See? They stand as they should. And the top shoulder seam extends just slightly from the bone on my shoulder.

By the way, did you know that you can tell if the blazer is good by the shoulders and the collar? If the blazer is made right, the collar should sit as you move. And the shoulder pads should end only slightly from the bone on your shoulders.

Oh, about that styling tip I mentioned earlier. Here is the thing, a houndstooth blazer doesn’t look good worn over a dark shirt or a dark blouse. Nor any other dark top.

In my opinion, the best top to wear with a houndstooth blazer is a simple white shirt. I’m wearing a white T-shirt, though.

WHITE T-SHIRT

Indeed, a white shirt would look better. Still, I wanted to show you that you can wear a white T-shirt for a business formal look too. My white T-shirt is from H&M, and you can get it here.

HOUNDSTOOTH PANTS

Now the houndstooth pants. You know, you are lucky for having me find houndstooth pants for you. It took me ages to find a pair of houndstooth pants that would fit me and my budget. Honestly, I didn’t want to go overboard with the houndstooth pants. Still, I wanted great, well-fitting houndstooth pants made of good fabric and preferably tailored.

Well, in the end, I found houndstooth pants that fit my budgets but not my hips. These pants were way too big for me, and a team of seamstresses spent hours taking them in to fit my size.

Anyways, my pants were handmade in Italy, they come from brand Europeanculture. I bought the last pair, so you can’t buy the same houndstooth pants like the one that I’m wearing.

Ps. In case you don’t get houndstooth pants that would fit you and your budget – you can buy a size up and then take them to a seamstress as I did.

COURT PUMPS

Last but not least, the court shoes. I’m wearing my blue Gianivto Rossi pumps (shop here), but any other pumps go great with houndstooth pants. They just have to be in a dark or bold colour. These red pumps would go great too.

OFFICE BAG

FALL OFFICE MAKEUP AND HAIR

Finally, makeup and hair that goes the best with a houndstooth suit when you want to dress smart business formal but look chic and fashionable. My advice, go for a French hairstyle – long messy hair with nonchalant bangs. Do your curls in the “I woke up with these curls” way and put on only some basic makeup.

Ps. To do my curls in “I woke up with these curls” way, I did nothing but that. I washed my hair the night before, used all these hair care products from the gallery below, blew my hair with hot air while using the round brush. And spritz the hair with this hairspray.

After that, I immediately made a bun, ironed my bangs and spritz them with this hairspray. I waited only a few minutes for the hairspray to dry, loose my hair and went to bed. When I woke up, I brushed my hair with this (1) and this (2) hairbrush. That was it.
