I love this careless weekend feeling when wandering through the city in a flirty mini skirt and white sneakers. Although all in black and white, this outfit is so fun, chic and simply perfect for a Sunday stroll in Paris. Ups, I forgot, I’m stuck in Ljubljana this week.

This weekend I decided to wear the same outfit which I wore in Paris during the Fashion Week and see how it blends with the street style in Ljubljana. Remember my stunning selfie in the Tuileries Garden, in which I almost fall into the round pond? Thinking about it I can’t stop laughing. Anyway, that’s the outfit I’m talking about. Well, with few changes, of course. It’s sunny spring weekend after all, and the black cape would be too much.

MY WEEKEND OUTFIT

Even though I wore this outfit before, during the Paris Fashion Week, it feels like a style experiment when wearing it here, in Ljubljana. You know, locals think grown-up girls dressed in a mini skirt and sneakers in Ljubljana are either tourists or crazy.

Nevertheless, I decided to bring that famous French careless feeling to the streets of Ljubljana this weekend. Surely, not in the same way as in Paris, but enough to show my true origins. And make me feel happy and free. Because that is what I felt. Freedom and pure happiness.

MY WEEKEND STYLE

As said, I’m wearing my favourite Parisian-inspired outfit. The black mini skirt and white sneakers. Although embellished white sneakers might not be the number one fashion trend anymore, they go so well with this flirty mini skirt. Surely, the whole outfit would be even better if I was wearing black tights as I did back in Paris. But, you know, I’m in Ljubljana this weekend. Meaning black and white, sneakers and skirts are a no-no in the first place.

You should have seen all the people turning their heads, holding their step and watching me walking by. And that old ladies. I guess I made a buzz this weekend.

SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE

I’m wearing a black mini skirt with ruffles and white embellished sneakers from Diesel. You can find a link to shop these sneakers in one of the galleries. Ps. Be sure to check all of the galleries to find all of my favourite sneakers and skater skirts. Unlike the other time in Paris, I’m not wearing sheer black tights this weekend. Firstly, because it’s spring. And it happens to be surprisingly warm this weekend. Secondly, because wearing sheer black tights would be too much for a casual weekend in Ljubljana. Ljubljana is far from Paris you know. At least in the fashion sense.

Furthermore, I’m wearing a white silk blouse and same as the last time a boyfriend blazer. Without the cape, of course. Although I wish to wear a cape in the morning. It’s still quite cold in the morning, you know.
Almost forgot to mention, how important it is to button up all the buttons on your blouse when wearing a mini skirt. Clearly, all buttons buttoned make a significant difference. And turn a casual outfit into a chic outfit, that you can wear anytime and almost anywhere.

As it comes to the accessories, I’m wearing hot pink top handle small bag. Yes, my favourite spring bag. The one I also wore the other day, together with the red pumps. Finally, the gloves. Wait, I took the gloves off at some point! Anyway, I’m wearing pink gloves today. Well, only when I’m not.

Ps. You can simply swap the shoes and you are ready for a new week. Yes, you can actually wear a mini skirt to work. I wrote about how to wear a mini skirt to the office once before. Be sure to click on the link to that blog post in the bottom.
