As said, I’m wearing a tweed suit for a brunch and morning walk through the city this Sunday. Well, I should rather write I’m wearing a tweed skirt and a tweed blazer, as these two don’t actually match. Still, together with the rest of the things I’m wearing, they make a classy look, fit for a refined Sunday brunch in some posh cafeteria or restaurant.
TWEED SUIT IS THE BEST SUNDAY OUTFIT CHOICE THIS WINTER
Today I’m wearing, double doses of tweed. A tweed suit if you prefer. However, the skirt and blazer I’m dressed in this morning, match only in the material. Which makes my outfit look nothing like the one your grandma might wear.
I must admit. Years ago, when I bought this blazer that I’m wearing today, I thought anything tweedy is for the elder ladies only. However, I completely changed my mind after seeing Chanel’s fashion show. You know what I mean? I realised there is a way to make tweed work for young women and girls much better than for old ladies. No offence, Grandma!
HOW TO WEAR TWEED IN YOUR 20s AND NOT LOOK LIKE GRANNY
So how to wear tweed in your 20s and look like a fashionista and not like you borrowed the look from your grandma? It’s quite easy, actually. And there are more ways to pull this look off.
First is this Sunday outfit – blue tweed suit.

Now, back to the weekend outfit that I’m wearing today. As said I combined two different tweedy pieces. A blue tweed skirt and black tweed blazer. I decided to go for a blue, black and white palette, to bring this outfit to the chic level.
To put it short, here I am, wearing a blue tweed skirt, a blue striped shirt and blue tights with a denim effect.
I framed this blue part of my Sunday outfit with the black tweed blazer and long black coat. And finish the entire Sunday outfit with these chic white pumps. A note to be taken here. When wearing tights and socks that are not exactly in a natural shade together with pumps, make sure you put on the white pumps with a square toe. For me, there is nothing worse than seeing a woman wearing pointed toe white heels and black tights. If you want to wear this, you need to wear it right! Looking at you, my blonde-unicorn bestie!
SUNDAY ACCESSORIES TO MATCH THE BLUE TWEED SUIT
Now to the accessories that I’m wearing today. There are actually three accessories all together. Those from Ljubljana can tell, there was no rain this morning and I decided to open the umbrella just for fun. Regardless, the umbrella is not an important part of my outfit this time. Whereas the gloves and the bag are.
I’m wearing blue gloves, that perfectly finish the blue part of my outfit. As it goes to the pink bag, that I’m wearing. The pink refreshes my look and is here to give the final contrast to the tweedy outfit your grandma might wear.
Finally, about where you can get all the clothes and accessories I’m wearing today. Click here to shop a similar tweed skirt in blue. Over here to get tights that I wear in 2020. You can shop a black tweed jacket here, and a blue striped shirt here. Here is where you can shop chic white pumps. And here the gloves. Lastly, a pink bag over here.
