HOW TO DRESS FOR AN OUTDOOR PARTY THIS WINTER
I got so many questions about how to dress up for an outdoor party in winter 2020 after my previous blog post. You know the one in which I shared some that you can wear to a club or any other party in warm space.
Sure, you saw me wearing all of those party outfits, including sandals and a mini dress, on the street as well. Since we took my party outfit photos while returning from the party. But hey, I wouldn’t wear any of those outfits for an outdoor party in winter.
Hell, no! I don’t want to catch a cold just to wear sandals to winter outdoor party. Especially not when there are so many other shoes that look as good, if not even better, as sandals and you can wear them to an outdoor party in winter.
Anyway, forget the sandals now and scroll down to find out how to dress up for winter outdoor party to look sexy and stay warm all night long.
Ps. My outdoor winter party style tips are legit. Ever since I have lived in Montreal, no cold can surprise me. I learned my lesson on how to dress up for cold winter days and even more on how to dress up for an outdoor party in a really cruel way. Oh if you only knew all my Canadian anecdotes.
Well, another time, perhaps. I bet you are already late for the party or your cookies are burning in the oven while reading this. For sure, this will be the case in my oven, if I don’t finish writing soon.
So let’s head on how to dress up for an outdoor party straight away.
THIS IS WHAT TO WEAR TO AN OUTDOOR PARTY IN WINTER TO STAY WARM
#1 WEAR LAYERS
Starting with the most important tip, the layers. Wear as many layers as possible. All made of natural materials, of course.
Following this tip, you can even wear to an outdoor party in winter and be the best dressed.
I always wear with a silk cami and an extra thick black cotton sweatshirt under the dress. And no, no one ever guesses I’m wearing a sweatshirt under my sequin dress. The sweatshirt doesn’t show under the sequins.

#2 WEAR TIGHTS AND WOOL SOCKS
Again, wear tights and socks. Even though no one feels cold in suede over the knee boots, you should wear tights and socks for an outdoor party under the boots.
Say thanks to your Grandma for the wool socks she gives you every Christmas. Those wool socks should be perfect to wear under OTK boots.
#3 WEAR OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
I’m outlining this style tip again since it’s really important that you wear over the knee boots to an outdoor party in winter. In case you didn’t know, it’s not the cold feet but the cold tights that make you feel cold all over your body.
#4 PUT ON A FUR HAT
Be sure to wear a faux fur hat this year. It’s much warmer than a wool beanie. Plus it won’t ruin your hair.
#5 DON’T FORGET THE DOUBLE GLOVES
Yes, you should wear the double gloves or mittens for the outdoor party in winter. Triple for an outdoor party in snowstorm.
#6 ADD SOME GLITTER
Last but not least, put some glitter on your face. After all, you are going to a party.
