Can Distressed jeans help you feel good when wearing layers?
Making holes instead of taking off the coat
Don’t like wearing layered transitional outfits? Guess what? Neither do I! I hate layering. It makes me feel hot. But I love any chic casual transitional outfit that makes me feel warm yet not hot. So why don’t we put on the wool coat and making holes in our jeans too? Yes, the distressed jeans or ripped jeans, whatever you prefer, are back on the street this season. And we are wearing them with a classic wool coat, plexi pumps, and a dangling belt. To make sure we don’t feel too hot on a rather warm yet humid winter day.

I must admit, finding some chic casual transitional outfit to share with you wasn’t that easy this time. Cold is coming back. And it’s coming fast. Anyway, looking for a chic casual new season’s outfit, I came up with this look. Wool coat, plexi pumps, and ripped jeans.
And dangling belt to make this casual transitional outfit even more fashionable. You know this is the only way to wear a belt this winter, right? Anyway more about how to style belt this season, a bit later. First, we need to discuss this chic casual transitional outfit I’m wearing today.
WHEN NEW SEASON’S OUTFIT MEANS YOU HAVE TO PUT ON SOME LAYERS
Be honest, do you like wearing several layers of clothes and feeling like an onion? And then carrying all those layers of clothes in your hand once the sun comes back out? Because I sure don’t. In fact, I hate layering. Truth be told the only time I wear layers is when I need to take photos so that I can show you how to do the layering like a fashion blogger. But apart from that, you won’t see me in piles of layers come autumn and winter. At least no more than 2 (silk underwear excluded of course).
Sure I can still go with a blazer under a coat, and a blouse and silk cami under the blazer. Yet these are thin layers. Nothing like heavy knits, most likely synthetic chunky cardigans with few other synthetic layers. Whatsoever, the point is that I prefer thin layers. Preferably no more than 2 plus a silk cami and underwear.

Nevertheless, I’m wearing plenty of layers today. And they are anything but thin. However, thanks to these distressed jeans I feel a lot chicer than I would in some other jeans. I guess this is the answer on how to dress for a warm but humid winter day if you don’t want to wear layers of clothes. Make holes in your jeans.
Wait, I’m not saying you should tear your jeans. Well, I actually did this a few seasons ago. Whatsoever, just put on distressed jeans, and you are good to go.

WE WEARING RIPPED JEANS WITH THIS CHIC CASUAL TRANSITIONAL OUTFIT
As said, since we are wearing layers of heavy knits that might make us feel like a teddy bear, or onion, at least, we are swapping our staple jeans for ripped jeans.
By the way, does it seems ages since you wore ripped jeans for you too? It must be because ripped jeans were out of style for some time. Anyway, now it’s time for you to step into your closet, and take your distressed jeans out. Distressed jeans are cool again. Yes, ripped jeans are back in style.

Ps. Be sure to check my favourite ripped jeans at the moment in the widget below, in case you can’t find your ripped jeans in your first search. Yes, I know you haven’t done a proper winter cleaning yet. And finding all those autumn to winter transitional clothes in your closet can be a legit nightmare these days. Not saying a safari in Europe. You know what I mean. Still, you are not alone in this.

Oh, in case you missed the paragraph above and still wondering if ripped jeans are in fashion this season, the answer is … distressed jeans are cool again. So yes, ripped jeans are in fashion. Even though you haven’t seen them listed on my spring-summer capsule wardrobe checklist nor winter shopping list. I already have a pair of ripped jeans that I like very much.

SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE
Be sure to save, print and pin the fashion cheat sheet below to make sure you wear layers as a fashion blogger and don’t forget that distressed jeans are in style again.
You can shop all the items in the picture simply by clicking/touching them. A link attached to the item will take you to the store. Well, if this sounds a bit too complicated, check the things in the gallery below the edit. Again, just click on them for a closer look.
Ps. Don’t be b* and share this collage with your squad too. Especially with that girlfriend who reminds you of an onion these days.

THE RIPPED JEANS
Starting with the jeans. I’m wearing Levi’s jeans that I ripped by myself. Still can’t believe I did this. To be noted, making holes in jeans is not that easy at all. Evidently following my tips might be easier. Still, I wouldn’t do it again. Especially not when there are so many stunning distressed jeans in the stores. Yes, Levi’s has a pair of distressed jeans that looks just like mine DIY distressed Levi’s in the store now too. Shop them here.

VIRGIN WOOL COAT
Seems like I won’t be taking off this virgin wool coat anytime soon. I will wear this Weekend Maxmara coat until May. Whatsoever the good news is that a Maxmara coat is on sale now. Shop for it here. Believe me, you need this coat. It’s a lifetime investment. Well perhaps slightly exaggerating, but I’m sure you will wear it for the next 20 years. It’s a classic piece that never goes out of fashion, plus resists everything.
DENIM JACKET AND BLACK SHIRT
As said, I’m wearing many layers under my coat today. Including this denim jacket from H&M (shop here) and a black shirt (shop here).
GIANVITO ROSSI PUMPS
I know your eyes are on my pumps. These chic transparent heels come from Gianvito Rossi, and you can shop them here. These beautiful plexi pumps come in several colours. Yet I think this is the colour to go for with this chic casual transitional outfit. Especially if you are wearing boot-cut distressed jeans.

ACCESSORIES
Getting rid of layers doesn’t mean getting rid of accessories this time. Like we would care, right? We love wearing accessories. The problem is that we rarely have time to put them on. Still, I’m wearing only a belt, gloves and a bag. Minimal yet obvious. And the best thing? You can put the belt and gloves into the pockets of your coat and put them on your way.
Oh about this belt. It’s from a Slovenian designer. Old collection. Anyway, I found some other chic belts I’m sure you will love. Check the gallery below.
MAKEUP
I wore this outfit for my appointment at the doctor and dentist. So yes, that’s why my lipstick is gone. However, I thought you might want to know what lipstick I wore before. Find it in the widget below.
