BACK INTO CITY STYLE AFTER MONTHS ON THE BEACH?
First, let me welcome you back! I hope you had nice summer holidays.
So what has happened since you were gone? In short, a lot. Surely you know all the latest gossip already. Well, unless you just got from a remote island somewhere in Greece, dropped your phone to the sea while flirting with that cute guy on your (friends) yacht or just forgot to let the Condé Nast know where to send you your Vogue to.
Anyway, gossip and news aside, it’s time to put on a chic pre-fall boho look and come back.
HOW TO SET BACK INTO CITY STYLE AFTER LIVING IN BIKINI ALL SUMMER
I know, swapping the bikini for cosy knits doesn’t sound appealing. Luckily, you came back to the city early enough. Read we are still wearing pre-fall collection. Light, flowing, boho-inspired dresses that remind us of life on the beach.
Ha, thinking better more of life on a safari since we are wearing brown hues now.
WITH THESE TIPS YOU WON’T EVEN KNOW SUMMER IS OVER ALREADY
So how to transition into the new season right after you come back from vacation without feeling depressive and sad since summer is gone? Unfortunately, I don’t have any tips on how to do that in mind, but these style tips should help you a bit. If not a lot. You know the right clothes make everything look and feel different.
#1 WEAR PRE-FALL BOHO DRESS
My first tip is to look for the new season’s IT pieces in boho style. I know, not the easiest thing to do. But since I already found this pre-fall boho dress for you, you shouldn’t have any problem following this tip.
#2 SWAP YOUR BEACH BAG FOR A BIG OFFICE TOTE BAG
Unless you were, just like me, walking on the beach with a towel in one hand and cute small basket bag, big enough only for the suncream and sunglasses, in another this shouldn’t be difficult for you. Simply toss everything you were carrying around in your big beach bag and put it into your favourite office tote bag.
#3 SWAP SANDALS FOR FLAT MULES
Well thinking better you can skip this tip and stay in your sandals. Although if you do so, it’s all on you.
#4 ADD SOME VOLUME TO YOUR BEACH WAVES
Even though IT hair trend is sleek and short, there is no reason to straighten your beach waves already. There is another important hair trend that goes well with the beachy waves. All you need to do is to grab a hairspray and spritz until you finish the bottle. Yes, we are adding the volume to our hair this season.
Here are some of my favourite volume hairsprays. I’m currently using this hairspray from Oribe and also Balmain Hair powder. Although I didn’t use the last one this time. Therefore I don’t have enough volume in my hair over here.
#5 PUT ON METALLICS
Lastly, finish your post vacation transition with some fall makeup. The most fashionable makeup to wear now is metallic makeup. For everything. Eyes and lips. I love wearing this metallic eyeliner from Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford’s liquid Metal Lip Lacquer in Molten Orchid now.
This is it. Hopefully, these 5 tips make your back to the city transition easier. Because the new season is now. Ps. Be sure to browse through the Brunette from Wall Street to find more and learn all about . Plus, see all the ways I wear this Zara bohemian dress. By the way, how does it feel being back to the city? What fashion news shocked you the most?
