As promised in my previous post Wrapped in The Soft Nude Net, I’m sharing more about the most fashionable way to style the tulle dress this spring. Remember, there are four ways to style tulle now, and this on is certainly the one you will want to try.

I can’t say wearing tulle with the stripes is my favourite way to style a tulle skirt, but hey, it fits this style post turning into fashion story. Honestly, I just made the idea of making a fashion story out of this post up in my mind now. You know princess is escaping from the castle where she was beeing kept for a while as a prisoner. And a striped sweater … Don’t say this doesn’t remind you of a prisoner. Sure, I don’t have a black heavy metal ball tied by my ankle, but I’m leaving the Ljubljana castle that was once upon a time an actual prison. Well, not so long ago actually. Anyway, I’m not planning to give you a history lesson, but a style lesson now. As this princess left her castle to rule the streets in this fashion story.

HOW TO STYLE STRIPES AND TULLE

As I wrote in my previous post about the tulle and ways to style it, tulle is not for a princess waiting for her prince to come and save her. It’s for a powerful woman. So you need to wear tulle with an edge. Either when wearing a tulle skirt or a tulle dress, you need to wear it with a supporting piece that will elevate the look.

Therefore wearing tulle with the stripes is great and moreover the most fashionable idea. Stripes will not only give the perfect rough edge to the sweet princess’ look. But will turn you into fashionista who knows how to wear more fashion trends in one outfit. By the way, there is a post about all the fashion trends you need to know now, over here. So make sure you check it after you finish reading this post and get my look.

SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE

Finally, the thing you have been waiting for since Wednesday when I posted my first blog post about the tulle. Where to get this outfit that I’m wearing and how to wear this look.

WHEN TO WEAR TULLE DRESS

Before I let you browse and click the clothes and accessories I’m wearing, a little bit on how to adopt this look. Firstly, you need to know this is not an everyday look for every girl. Not that you can’t wear it to the office. Because you actually can. Although your look won’t be as fashionable as you want. You know what I mean. Strong suiting. So better not to mess tulle with the suit now, and wear them on their own.

Back to the tulle skirt or let it be tulle dress, as I’m actually dressed in a tulle dress. Tulle dress is more of a weekend outfit. The one you wear to a brunch or shopping date with your girlfriends. Or on your Sunday stroll through the city. I won’t wear it to the Sunday Mass, though. Although thinking better, wearing a striped sweater with a tulle skirt does bring a strong message.

PRINCESS STYLE

At last, more about my outfit. I’m wearing Zara tulle dress that I bought seven years ago on my travel to Spain. Yes, it was one of those unfortunate buys that I kept in my closet all of those years. I mean how not to as they are more fashionable now than they were when I bought them. In case you missed, along with this Zara dress, I also bought a boho dress and a boho skirt. I already showed these two looks here and here.

I’m giving an edge to this Zara dress with this striped sweater I have been wearing it too many times now. Best check my Instagram to see all the ways I styled this striped sweater so far. This striped sweater is from Astraet.

As it comes for the rest of the things that I’m wearing. The coat is by Weekend Maxmara, the bag is by DKNY, shoes are by Fornarina and gloves are by Burberry. Oh, and the blouse is Red Valentino. Sorry, you can’t find them online anymore. Yet I found similar clothes you can get in the store now, so make sure you click and browse through the fabulous gallery above. Ps. open products in the new tab to make sure you can check them all at the same time.

MAKEUP

Almost forgot to mention the makeup. Although there is only one thing, I need to say. Go bold and dark. You can shop the exact products I used in this look from the gallery below.

FASHION STORY IN THE MAKING

Turning back to the fashion story about escaping from the castle. I decided to put on a black ribbon bracelet around my ankles, dress this outfit again, grab the camera and shoot this fashion story, again. This time as a video. And post it on my Youtube channel obviously. Wondering what’s going on with the ribbon bracelet around my ankles? Don’t worry it’s not another fashion trend you missed. Well, perhaps it becomes a trend after I release this fashion story. Still, you will need to use your imagination or come back to find out more.

For now, you can see me owning the streets as I walk away from the castle. In case you are wondering, photos were taken at the Congress Square. You can see other photos from this photo shooting here.

WRAPPING UP

Try this look next Sunday when going for a brunch with your girlfriends. Give it an edge with the stripes and finish your look with bold, dark makeup. As it goes for the hair, go wild and simple. Whatever, as long as you don’t put on the tiara or wear a bun. Or anything girly. Remember you are not a little girl or princess who escaped from her castle. You are a fashionista who rules the street.
