Anyway, before I start making slightly to pretentious promises to myself, a quick look at my casual weekend outfit. By the way, do you spot something new? MY CASUAL WEEKEND LOOK
So what is new on me then? Wait, don’t be so impatient. Telling you in the next paragraph. First, few words on this casual weekend look. Not sure if you know, as it has been a really long time since I shared any outfit in my favourite blue jeans, but blue jeans are my weekend staple. Well, you can’t resent me as it’s wedding season and sharing all those over romantic wedding looks was far more important.
Besides, we spent most of our weekends either eating cake and sipping champagne at the weddings, or popping pills to get rid of a headache the next day. In short, wearing either a romantic wedding dress (by the way, if there is another wedding waiting for you the following weekend, be sure to check this blog post to find what best-dressed wedding guests are wearing this season) or pyjamas. Ps. I’m sharing how to wear pyjamas on the street next week.
Whatsoever, as said, I don’t blame you if you didn’t know blue jeans are my weekend’s favourites. Together with something more ladylike, of course. Anyway, leaving ladylike outfits for the next post, as this time is all about this chic casual weekend outfit. The blue denim jeans and mules. Yes, you can wear your mules with blue jeans too.
And no, these white mules aren’t new. These mules were 2018 summer must have shoes. And I’m wearing it merely for some good luck this summer.
THE IT SHOES TO WEAR WITH BLUE JEANS THIS SUMMER
It turns out that there are actually 3 types of shoes you should wear with your favourite pair of jeans this season. Yes, from that long list of fashionable shoes, fashionistas are wearing now, I posted a while ago over here, there are actually only two shoes you should wear with your blue jeans. And by this season I don’t mean just the time in between seasons, but spring and summer as well. So what shoes to wear with your blue jeans then?
The first pair are strappy sandals. I know, you don’t know them that well yet. But this is about to change soon.
Anyway, you know the second pair of shoes quite well. It’s the plexi. Surely you know how to wear plexi with blue jeans quite well already. WHITE MULES
The thir pair of shoes you should wear with blue jeans this season are your last season’s mules. Don’t look like that. Sure they are old, but their fashion life span is not at the end yet. Not wondering why. Just look how chic these are.

I mean you are all over your high school crush anyway, right? I mean who can even remember Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys and Tokio Hotel?
Ps. Be sure to share this collage with that friend of yours who still kisses goodnight to boys on the posters. It’s time for her to grow up. You can tell her she can keep her boyband T-shirt, though. That one is actually in fashion.

WHITE MULES AND BLUE JEANS
Finally, more about white mules and blue jeans that I’m wearing. As said before, blue jeans are my weekend favourites. Next to the fancy skirts, of course. Still, this year, in the year of denim, there are no excuses for us not to wear denim everywhere. Ps. In case I got you confused now, be sure to check my Spring Summer Fashion Report here.
Do I even need to say what brand are these jeans that I’m wearing? Ha, I guess not. But saying it anyway. Just in case this is your first time on Brunette from Wall Street. I’m wearing A.P.C. jeans (shop here). You saw me wearing these blue mom jeans with a tweed jacket, floral blouse and fancy plexi shoes the last time. Over here in case, you missed.
WHITE ON WHITE
Even though a tweed jacket and romantic floral blouse might be a better choice for the weekend, I decided to look chic on the last spring weekend and styled my blue mom jeans with a pure white blazer and white blouse underneath. You can’t say this fringed blouse doesn’t look chic, can you?
You have also seen me wearing this white blazer for a civil wedding here (and no I didn’t get married in secret, that day. Emphasis on that day though.) and for work over here. As it goes for the blouse, you have also seen me wearing this blouse with pyjama pants (check my Instagram to see the look).
MORE ABOUT THE WHITE MULES
Finally the white mules. These white mules and blue jeans go together so well, don’t they? The mules are from Sam Edelman, and you can shop similar mules here. They are under $110. I know not the price you are used to seeing me walking in. But I decided to buy the cheapest white mules I could get last year. I mean the cheapest leather mules I could still walk in, of course. Why? In short, because I really don’t like these mules. And I wasn’t sure if I could even wear them for real.
The plan was to get the white mules and wear them for the shootings only. Just for Brunette from Wall Street. Nevertheless, I started to wear them more often then. Not saying I already like these white mules. But I’m slowly falling in love with them. So yes, I might really splurge on Stuart Weitzman white mules next. I mean I will definitely have to if I want to wear mules more often.
Don’t get me wrong, these white mules from Sam Edelman are good for walking. You sure won’t get blisters wearing them. But still not sure I could walk over 10 km in these mules. And you know I love walking a lot. Besides, wearing well-designed shoes when your ankles are not supported is essential. Especially if you wear heels a lot. So yes, next on my list are those chic Stuart Weitzman Camila mules (these here).
A TOUCH OF PINK
Finally, something pink. First, the pink bag. Obivously I’m not wearing the same bag as you saw in the collage abouve, but I really wish I was. You can, though. Click here and buy Prada Sidonie Textured-Leather Shoulder bag.
