Barbie is back in town, and she is all grown up. Remember the Barbie pink cocktail dress I wore the other day? As you can see, I’m modernising that pink outfit and bringing a cocktail dress to a new level this time. Read making the peachy pink cocktail dress look chic.
As said, I’m swapping my Barbie look from the other day (be sure to check it here) for another pink outfit. Slightly more peachy and way chicer. Keep reading to find out what it takes to look chic in pink outfit.
PEACHY PINK COCKTAIL DRESS
Honestly, I don’t know which pink outfit I prefer. The Barbie pink outfit from the other day, or this peachy pink outfit I’m wearing here. One thing is sure, even though these two cocktail dresses look similar at the fist glance, I feel chicer wearing this peachy pink cocktail dress. I guess flats bring that sort of chic attitude to any outfit. Besides, a peachy pink outfit is already an elevated pink outfit by itself. And only one step away from being chic.
HOW TO LOOK CHIC IN A COCKTAIL DRESS
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying a peachy pink cocktail dress is chic by itself, merely because of the peachy colour. Because it’s not. Surely, the colour helps. And so do the buttons on the shoulders and slits on the sides. However, these details are here on this peachy pink cocktail dress more or less to make us look down dressed.
To look chic and ready to go anywhere in your cocktail dress, rather than just looking elegant and on point for a cocktail party, you need to swap your heels for chic slides. Yes, you got it, the mules or any other slides, even the slingbacks, are all you need to look chic in a cocktail dress. By the way, this goes for any colour of your dress.
Yet it’s even more important when it comes to a pink cocktail dress in particular. Moreover to any pink outfit this season. As said, to look chic, not to say grown-up in any pink outfit, all you need to do is to put on the right shoes. So put on some slides, mules, slippers or whatever you want to call them, as long as they are flat and open, and you are ready to go. Ps. No flip flops!
SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE
Finally sharing the details of my outfit and where to get my style. Because, sorry you can’t have my peachy pink cocktail dress. Same as in my previous pink blog post, I’m wearing a cocktail dress from Juicy Couture I bought three years ago, it could be in the USA or in Canada, I don’t know for sure. Nevertheless, you can’t get a same peachy pink cocktail dress I’m wearing anymore. However, I found a similar one over here. And, yes with the enhanced stitches, like those on my cocktail dress, too.
Ps. you will want to get a simple, clean cut cocktail dress with enhanced stitches for a curvy look. Although, I must say designers went too far with this cocktail dress, as I look fat in it. I guess I will need to take it to the seamstress and have it shortened a bit. And trim it by the side. I believe it’s too loose on me.
A STEP AWAY FROM CHIC PINK OUTFIT
Ending with the start or should I write the saviours of this outfit. The mules. You saw me wearing this studded black mules many times so far. Remember how I wore them on my brunch with friends in the romantic seaside town over here or on my strawberry picnic over here. By the way, all about my first summer picnic (that you already saw on my Instagram) is coming up later today, so make sure you check it too.
Back to the mules. My mules come from Queen Bee, and I got them over here. And guess what? They are ON SALE for only 98 EUR. I wish they were on sale back then when I was buying them. Anyway, I had so many beautiful moments in those flats so I can say money well spent.
Almost forgot to mention the bag and the sunglasses. I decided to wear a pink top handle bag (get similar here) that almost matches with the peachy pink cocktail dress. My advice is to do the same or alternatively go for a red bag. You know, the colour clashing effect. If you don’t know what I mean, be sure to check my post on how to wear pink and red in one outfit over here. As it goes for my sunglasses, not worthy of mentioning. Better go for chic round frames like ones over here. This one goes for me too! It’s about time I finally ditch my old shades and get a new pair.
PEACHY PINK, PALE PINK, BARBIE PINK, BLUSHY PINK, ROSE GOLD
Name it. I’m covering all the shades of pink this summer. If not already, make sure you follow me on Instagram to see, how to wear pink outfits from morning to evening. Also be sure, to check browse through the galleries above to find your new peachy pink cocktail dress. Happy shopping.
