Orange Dress and Flats for Cocktail Party? It looks unbelievably chic

Can you wear an orange dress for a cocktail party? Obviously, you can. What is more, an orange cocktail dress is the most fashionable cocktail dress right now. Furthermore, it looks incredibly chic and modern. Especially when you swap heels for pair of sassy black flats. Like this!

Barbie is back in town, and she is all grown up. Remember the Barbie pink cocktail dress I wore the other day? As you can see, I’m modernising that pink outfit and bringing a cocktail attire to a new level this time. Read making the cocktail outfit look chic. As said, I’m swapping my Barbie pink dress and heels from the other day for an orange dress and flats. Yes, flats and orange. Because orange is 2019 chicest colour.

ORANGE COCKTAIL ATTIRE

Honestly, I don’t know which cocktail outfit I prefer — the Barbie pink outfit from the other day (click here to check later), or this orange outfit I’m wearing here. One thing is sure, even though these two cocktail dresses look similar at first glance, I feel chicer wearing this orange cocktail dress. I guess flats bring that sort of chic attitude to any outfit. Besides, an orange outfit is already an elevated outfit by itself. And only one step away from being chic.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying an orange cocktail dress is chic by itself, merely because orange is 2019 IT colour. Because it’s not. Admittedly, the fashionable status helps. But more do the flats.

SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE

Yes, I shared this fashion cheat sheet once or twice before when I wrote about IT summer work dresses for 2019. After all, this orange shift dress is perfect for 9-5 as well. In fact, you can wear the same orange dress, mules and bag from office to street and bar like this. Perhaps, only change a lipstick on your way for some other, bolder shade. Or don’t.

Finally, the details of my outfit and where to get my style. To shop my look simply click on the items in the collage or gallery below.

Ps. Don’t forget to pin this collage to your “What to wear to a cocktail party” board. It’s a cocktail outfit you definitely shouldn’t forget. Remember, orange will be in style for autumn winter 2019/20 too. Not under this name, but still.

ORANGE COCKTAIL DRESS

My orange cocktail dress comes from Juicy Couture. And I bought three years ago. It could be in the USA or in Canada; I don’t know for sure where but somewhere in America.

Whatsoever, you can’t get the same orange cocktail dress I’m wearing here anymore. It’s sold out. However, I found a similar one over here. And, yes with the enhanced stitches, like those on my cocktail dress, too.

By the way, you can wear this dress for summer brunch, too. See here.

MULES

Ending with the star or should I write the saviours of this outfit. The mules. You saw me wearing this studded black mules many times so far. But this might be the last time, as I’m finally getting the same mules as you see in the collage above. Those Malone Soulieres mules are genuinely a must-have pair of flats for any businesswoman, boss babe as we like to say.

Not that there is anything wrong with my Queen Bee mules, but the Malone Soulieres mules are simply more glamorous and wearable. Click here to buy them too. Ps. Don’t click if you wear size 36 EUR or 36.5 EUR. At least not before you see me wearing these mules on my Instagram.

ACCESSSORIES TO WEAR WITH ORANGE COCKTAIL DRESS

Almost forgot to mention the bag. I decided to wear a pink top handle bag (get similar here) that nearly matches my orange cocktail dress. You can do the same or alternatively go for a red bag. You know, the clashing colour effect. If you don’t know what I mean, be sure to check my post on how to wear pink and red in one outfit over here.

As it goes for the pear hairpin, click here to read more about this stylish hair accessory. Yes, there are still some things you should know about this year’s most fashionable hair accessories that you don’t know yet.

ORANGE BLOUSE, ORANGE DRESS, ORANGE SHOES

Wait, I don’t think I have a pair of orange shoes yet. But I do have everything else. Orange is indeed the IT colour of the season, and if you want to follow the fashion crowd, you simply need to get at least one thing in orange. An orange cocktail dress is good for a start. From here get an orange maxi dress (wear it like this), orange floppy tie blouse (see how I wear it here), and orange shoes (these).

By the way, there are four shades of orange you should know for the next season: Summer Fig, Orange Tiger, Peach Pink and Crabapple. Anyway, you can read more about fall winter colours in fashion over here. Ps. My orange cocktail dress is actually a crabapple orange cocktail dress. At least I see it like this.
