The sky is blue, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and flowers are growing. Summer is coming, and everyone is enjoying their time in nature. But you. The bosslady. You are there, stuck in the gray, lifeless office, working on your computer all day long. Stop what you are doing, grab your laptop, find some picnic blanket or any blanket you find and run out of your office. Oh, and steal some fresh strawberries on your way out. You are taking your business to the strawberry picnic today.
TAKING THE WORK OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
I won’t write how important it is to bring some excitement and refreshment to your work. And how beneficial it is to work outside the office from time to time. You know what I mean. Especially if you work has anything to do with creativity. Sometimes all you need is take your laptop, sit down at your favourite cafeteria, order some coffee, and open your laptop. And by the time you finish your cup of coffee and eat the croissant, your notebook is filled with the new ideas.
Anyway, while the nature is so beautiful right now, I’m not working behind the desk in my office, nor at small the table in some cafeteria this time. Instead, I’m working in nature, on my pink picnic blanket. Yes, this time my picnic is all about the work. Oh and strawberries, the slogan tee and mules that I’m wearing, too. But more about my style later. First I need to confess and share few facts about my strawberry picnic. I don’t want this working strawberry picnic to be all fake news.
Honestly, I didn’t do all the work I was supposed to do at this strawberry picnic. I knew I shouldn’t have brought all those delicious strawberries with me. I spent most of my working hours eating strawberries and listening to the birds while laying in the grass. But still, now I can at least name my work picnic a strawberry picnic. Luckily I forgot to bring champagne. Otherwise, I would probably not even open my laptop at all.
Nevertheless, this strawberry picnic was a great refreshment and working in the grass (literally, while the grass was so tall I can’t say I was laying on the grass) was very productive. And once for a change, I felt way much comfortable while working on my computer. You should definitely give an office in the grass a try and bring your work out of the office and on the picnic blanket.
WHAT TO WEAR TO BUSINESS PICNIC
Although chances you get to convince your boss to bring the office to nature once in a while or at least make a work picnic that would boost a creativity and connect your team together, you should know what to wear to the picnic that has anything to do with your work.
In short, I believe all the formal business dressing codes are off once you lay down on the grass. And the only thing you should wear is something casual, chic and comfortable. But not too casual or too comfortable. And most of all not sloppy in any means. Even though you are laying in the grass and pyjamas and track pants are still in fashion, you should look refined. Meaning, you should do everything to look at least slightly elegant. Be sure to check my tips on how to look elegant in a casual outfit like blue jeans and tee shirt over here.
MY STRAWBERRY PICNIC STYLE AND FEMININE VIBES
Unlike at my previous ladylike picnics (remember that sweet pink picnic from the other day? check it again here), I’m not wearing a skirt this time. Although I call this picnic a strawberry picnic, the theme and story behind this picnic are actually the women power and feminine vibes. Yes, I have my slogan tee, too.
You can shop this powerful slogan tee along with all the other (same or similar) things that I’m wearing by clicking on the products in the EDIT or in the gallery bellow. PS. Don’t forget to pin or download and print the EDIT. And post it to your closet’s wall. It’s here for you to give you some fresh style inspiration.
Finally more about what I’m wearing at my strawberry picnic. As noted, I’m wearing a slogan tee Feminine Vibes from H&M (shop here). I styled this casual but so chic statement t-shirt with casual mom jeans by A.P.C. (shop here) (you saw me wearing them before this spring over here and also at my winter picnic over here). I finished my look with a tiara/headband made of Swarovski crystals (similar here) and studded mules (shop here). Yes, those mules that I have been wearing so many times lately. Can’t help myself. Ps. Check how I style this stunning studded mules with a suit over here and with a shirt dress over here.
Finally, I finished my look with my Mac. Well, the Mac is not just an accessory this time. #Bosslady needs to work too.
