Well, the story doesn’t go exactly like this. But anyway, most summer flings do end like this, don’t they? And what better way to end them than in a romantic tulle skirt outfit. At least he won’t be able to say you were harsh on him. I mean, when was a ballerina anything but gracious anyway?

So saying goodbye to your summer love in this romantic tulle skirt outfit seems just perfect to me. Although I must admit, I didn’t have this in mind when we shot these photos.

You saw me wearing this outfit (on my Instagram of course) last weekend, on my Sunday trip to the seaside. Remember, I discovered this beautiful spot on the Slovenian coast, by another natural park and salt pants. I guess I have this thing with the salt lately as I keep going to the salt pans.

HOW TO WEAR TULLE SKIRT ON THE LAST SUMMER DAYS

Anyway, off to my tulle skirt. Honestly, I don’t recommend you to wear this tulle skirt to the beach. Well, at least not to the beach full of people in their swimsuits. Undoubtedly you will feel overdressed. Nevertheless, this outfit will be an excellent choice for a date by the sea. Or the seaside town. Believe me, the tulle skirt will make your last summer date even more romantic.

Imagine the light breeze slightly lifting the sheer, light tulle, and the feeling of freedom while you are standing on the cliff above the sea early in the morning. Or the dim light coming from the lighthouse captured in your tulle and lightening your face before you two kiss.

Or before you dump him. I told you this outfit is an excellent choice for when you want to dump your holiday boyfriend, too. You know what I mean.

HOW TO STYLE TULLE SKIRT NOW

Anyway, back to fashion. As said, a tulle skirt, a ballerina skirt is nothing but a sophisticated veil, that you will need to downgrade unless you are a legit ballerina dancing on the stage or going to a party.

Surprisingly, turning this romantic skirt into a chic ballerina inspired outfit is not difficult at all. Especially not this year when everyone is wearing at least one ballerina inspired piece.

SHOP AND WEAR TULLE SKIRT OUTFIT

As said, to wear a sheer tulle skirt by the seaside, you will need to downgrade it. Quite a lot frankly. The best way to do this? Match your sheer tulle skirt with a light blue denim jacket or striped blue shirt, as I did. And don’t forget to make a knot.

And chinch your waist with a metallic belt. Or a leather belt. Gucci belt, of course, as this one happens to be the IT accessory this season. Anyway, I decided to go for a chic red metallic belt this time.

BALLERINA’S APPROVED ACCESSORIES

No, no ballet slippers or ballet pumps this time. You know I can’t really walk in flats (don’t mind the mules). Besides, it’s still summer and espadrilles are a much better choice. As long as you don’t go to the rocky beach, of course.

Last but not least, the bag. My favourite choice is a small shoulder bag this time. However, a raffia basket bag would be a good choice too.

HOW TO WEAR TULLE SKIRT IN THE CITY

I wore the tulle back in the city some time ago. Remember I styled my tulle skirt, well dress actually, with a denim jacket and plexi pumps. Anyway, it’s still slightly too warm for a denim jacket.
