HOW TO WEAR LEOPARD PRINT WHEN IT COMES BACK IN STYLE

I can say I’m a leopard savvy. Well, how couldn’t I be when leopard print was so fashionable a few seasons ago? We wore everything in this animal print. From pants to skirts, bags and shoes. Even headbands and scrunchies. Anyway, while wearing leopard print on repeat I figured out 2 important styling tips.

So, what are my two tips?

1 WEAR LEOPARD PRINT WITH DEEP, RICH COLOURS

First, style leopard print with deep colours. Wait, not any colours match the leopard print. The best colours to wear with the leopard print are blue, green, oxblood, and bronze. Apparently, not any shade of these 4 colours works either. You need to look for deep, rich hues of blue, green, oxblood and bronze.

Princess blue or Quetzal Green for the shoes. And Jester Red for the bag or a sweater or any other outwears you wear on top of your clothes in leopard print. As it goes for the oxblood, it works best as a makeup or a bag.

As you can see I styled my long leopard Zara dress with princess blue Gianvito Rossi satin pumps.

2 WEAR IT TO A DATE WITH YOUR FRIENDS FIRST

Secondly, test the leopard print with your friends first. Before you put on your leopard print dress, leopard blouse or leopard pants and wear them to the office, try this print with your squad first.

Believe me, it will be much easier for you to build your confidence in the animal print dress if you wear it for a brunch date with your friends first. Besides your friends can tell you if this print looks good on you in the first place. You don’t want to make fashion your victim once leopard print comes back in style, do you?
