Fall Brunch Outfit that isn’t skirt or a dress. But jeans!
Who says you must put on something ladylike for brunch or coffee date to make it more special? You can forget about that unwritten brunch dressing code and make yourself comfortable in this fall brunch outfit that is not a skirt or a dress. Yes, here is a slightly more casual and more comfortable brunch outfit with jeans you can wear this Friday. Believe me, you will love it! It’s from your capsule wardrobe.

And here it is, the fall brunch outfit or coffee date outfit you have been asking me for. The easy fall brunch outfit that isn’t a skirt or a dress. But still looks chic and fashionable. Not to say fancy and elegant. Well, we sure have to say it. Because it really looks classy.
And what matters the most, this fall brunch outfit is from our capsule wardrobe. Yes, this week we are brunching in denim and a casual black sweatshirt.
With chic blue satin pumps and a blazer of course. It is the brunch we are talking about after all. And we still want to be the best dressed at our table. Why only our table? The entire cafeteria!

BREAK THE DRESSING RULES AND GO OUT FOR A BRUNCH IN CLOTHES FROM YOUR CAPSULE WARDROBE
Despite that unwritten brunch dressing code that we tend to follow unconditionally, I decided to swap my ladylike clothes for clothes from my capsule wardrobe this time. Well, actually you made me do it when you asked me to show you some brunch outfits that are not skirts or dresses.
Sure I could wear wide-leg pants, but I decided to show you how I wear my staple outfit from the street to the brunch as well. While still looking classy and brunch appropriate. And it’s jeans! Again, you can wear jeans for brunch too! But only with this and those. Anyway, more about this and that you should wear with jeans for brunch in fall a bit later.

We need to dig into your capsule wardrobe and find you your new brunching jeans and brunching sweatshirt first. Well, we might have to look further, but don’t worry I have you covered on this too.

WHAT FROM MY CAPSULE WARDROBE CAN I WEAR FOR BRUNCH
As said, we are swapping those fancy ladylike skirts and tweed jackets for jeans and basic t-shirts this time. And we are going to find them all in our capsule wardrobe.
This is if you already followed my shopping tips and got yourself these chic dark blue denim jeans a while ago when I shared my fall winter capsule wardrobe shopping list. Remember?

DENIM JEANS
Well, if your capsule wardrobe still misses these jeans, then be sure to get them today. Mine are from A.P.C. Paris (shop here). Believe me, you need dark denim jeans. And not just for a fall brunch, but for work too. When styled like this of course.

BASIC BLACK SWEATSHIRT
Now, that you finally got the jeans, it’s time to put on glasses or grab the magnifying glass and find your basic black sweatshirt or black T-shirt. Hopefully, it’s not somewhere at the bottom of your wardrobe. Because it would be a pity, really. And no, not merely because you will have to move all those piles of clothes but because this means that you are not taking advantage of the basic tee.
A simple black sweatshirt is a life saviour. Especially when you have nothing to wear. Or have so many macarons left to try.

Ps. Don’t forget to check what are you wearing right now. In case you are wearing a black sweatshirt right now while reading this post. Well if you do, take this as a sign to purchase another black tee shirt. One for home and one for the best. Ha, this makes them two. But if it helps, you can shop one on a budget at H&M (here for only $12.99 – made of organic cotton of course) and the second one (the same one I’m wearing) from Tommy Hilfiger for $39.50 over here.

HOW TO STYLE FALL BRUNCH OUTFIT FROM YOUR CAPSULE WARDROBE?
Now that you have dark denim jeans and black sweatshirt, it’s time to style it for fall brunch. You can’t go out just like this. There are those annoying brunch dressing rules, remember? And fashion trends to follow.
What you need are a chic blazer and stunning stilettos. I’m wearing my favourite jacquard blazer (shop here) and Gianvito Rossi blue satin pumps (shop here).

Oh, and be sure to put some makeup and a drop of perfume too. Or simply get the same makeup I’m wearing in these photos. It’s fashionable, but nothing special. You know, just everyday makeup. That goes well with everything. Especially with this easy fall brunch outfit.
Ps. Don’t forget to save, pin and print the fashion cheat from below. And yes, as usual, this one is shoppable too.
