This spring outfit edit was highly requested in the last three weeks. And I have a hunch at least 30% of the requests came from PR of the brands who make “comfortable shoes” and wanted me to need walkable shoes to make this outfit edit. Pov, they don’t know I already have a closet full of walkable and comfortable shoes. POV comfortable if not walkable, too. While I can walk more than 15 km in my Gucci kitten heels, Valentino rock studs and Gianvito Rossi stiletto pumps, I am not adding any city outfit with kitten or stiletto heels as they can easily get damaged on cobblestone streets. And don’t even let me start about how many heels I ruined on the pavement on The Place de la Concorde.
Also, as strange as it sounds, I just don’t want any other new shoes, but these Valentino, right now.
So, I decided not to reply to their messages at all. I know, not the best business practice, but still that’s on them. If they had only checked one outfit edit, they would have known I have only comfortable and walkable shoes in my shoe closet.
Despite that, I can tell you about one brand that approached me, as one of my dearest friends has collaborated with them in the past and claims their shoes are truly walkable and comfortable. It’s ALLY SHOES. But approach mindfully – I haven’t tested them nor seen IRL. Hopefully, my friend was honest and those shoes are as comfortable as boujee. If I had decided to work with them, I would have chosen this pair. They would go so well with many of the spring city outfits in this edit – especially with the 4th one.

CHIC SPRING CITY OUTFITS FOR RAINY DAY
Dress for the city in a sharply tailored trench coat that pairs well with denim and sneakers. At the same time, striped and silk shirts are elevated pieces for everyday that transition seamlessly from home to the street with ease.
1 STRIPED SHIRT AND WIDE-LEG JEANS WITH WEDGE SNEAKERS AND LONG GREY TRENCH COAT
Imagine thick air with the mingling scents of wet pavement (cringe, I find it quite unappealing, especially when mixed with the aroma of coffee and pastries – but this is the scenery we have today).
The rain taps on your umbrella as you walk on the cobblestone streets. You move with ease in your new wedge suede sneakers. The extra height gives you a little lift, keeping your long wide-leg jeans dry above the puddles, and the suede material holds up surprisingly well against the rain. Your steps feel cushioned and secure as you make your way to your favorite bakery.
Pushing open the glass door, you’re greeted by a soft jingle from the bell above. Instantly, the rich aroma of freshly baked bread envelops you, layered with the scent of Brezen (pretzels) still cooling on racks.
You pause to inhale deeply, letting the comforting smell enter your nose as you wait your turn. It brings you a sense of comfort and familiarity.
“What can I get for you today?” asks a girl behind the counter with a friendly smile.
The golden croissants, gleaming under the soft lights, beckon invitingly. Those flaky layers practically plead to be torn apart. But Käsebrezen tempt you as always. The melted salty cheese on bread – is there anything better? Hardly! Yet, you buy a baguette.
The girl behind the counter carefully slides your order into a paper bag, and you feel the comforting warmth of the freshly baked baguette through it.
With a baguette in your hand, you step back onto the street. The rain continues to fall in steady sheets, but it no longer bites as sharply.
EVERYDAY CITY SPRING OUTFITS FOR ERRANDS AROUND THE CITY
Use versatile separates to switch up day to day looks. White shirts can be paired with jeans or shorts as the seasons change, while ballet flats define the street chic.
2 BLACK QUILTED JACKET ON WHITE SHIRT AND BLUE SKINNY JEANS WITH MOCHA BROWN SUEDE SNEAKERS
Visualise this. You step into the farmer’s market as the morning sun spills golden light over the bustling stalls. The air hums with life—vendors hawking their wares, shoppers weaving through the crowd, and the rich scents of fresh produce swirling around you.
There’s the earthy aroma of root vegetables, the bright tang of citrus, and the sweet perfume of flowers coming from the corner (*you will get some flowers later on – I have a boujee outfit for that scenery for you as well).
Dressed in blue modern skinny jeans, a black quilted jacket, and simple old money brown suede sneakers, you’re ready for your first stop of the day: buying radicchio.
The market is a riot of color and texture. Stalls brim with vibrant vegetables—potatoes, red beets, and bundles of herbs tied with twine.
Your eyes are drawn to the greens. You spot a stall piled high with leafy treasures: arugula with its peppery bite, tender spinach, and sturdy kale, all glistening with morning dew. The vendor, a woman with a weathered smile and a wide-brimmed hat, notices your interest and waves you over.
“I’d like some radicchio, please—a mix of your freshest,” you say, gesturing toward the green and red radicchio. She nods and starts scooping up handfuls, the leaves rustling softly as she gathers them. You imagine her reaching for a paper bag—something simple, rustic, and fitting for the market’s charm.
But then, she pulls out a plastic bag instead. The thin, crinkly material glints in the sunlight as she slides the radicchios inside, sealing their freshness in a way that feels all wrong.
Your stomach twists a little. Plastic? It’s practical, sure, but it clashes with everything this place stands for—the natural beauty, the care for the earth, the handmade vibe. You wish she’d used a paper bag, something that would cradle the radicchio gently and let it breathe, not suffocate it in synthetic sheen. She ties the bag with a quick knot and hands it to you with a cheerful, “Here you go!” You muster a smile, take the bag and leave.
Obv, I have a fashionable basket bag for you. Buy here.
3 WHITE SILK SHIRT UNDER A STRIPED CARDIGAN AND TURN UP NAVY SHORTS WITH GOLDEN BALLET FLATS AND A BRAIDED HEADBAND
Leaving the crowded main path behind, you turn into a narrow side street by the church. The light here is diffused, softened by the church’s rooftop, tossing playful shadows on the worn cobblestones.
Dressed in navy blue turn-up shorts, golden ballet flats, a striped cardigan over a white crepe silk shirt, and a stylish headband, you feel a sense of calm away from the bustling crowd.
“Searching for something special?” someone asks.
You nod, your eyes already locked on the pink ranunculus. The petals, soft and velvety, unfurl in perfect layers, and their blush-pink hue glows with a tender vibrancy. You reach out, brushing your fingers against them, and a faint fragrance rises—clean and green.
“Ranunculus are a beautiful pick,” the vendor says, his hands already gathering the choicest stems. “They carry charm and grace—perfect for a little joy, whether it’s for you or someone else.”
The vendor wraps the bouquet in brown kraft paper. “Here you are, that’s 10,” he says, handing it to you with a gentle nod. “May these brighten your day.” You take it, tucking it into the crook of your arm as you put away your wallet. Btw, I took my wallet out of my bag to get the banknotes out from the bottom of my purse. Ha, I never have banknotes or coins in my wallet. I normally just stack them into the bag, it’s usually more accessible to have money out of your wallet. But I was at the cafeteria earlier. More about it in the next outfit.
4 WHITE SILK SHIRT WITH MODERN DARK WASH SKINNY JEANS AND POINTY BALLET FLATS
Picture glass doors that glide open with a gentle whoosh as you approach. You enter your favorite grocery store that looks more like a curated gallery than Walmart. The air hits you first—crisp, cool, and faintly perfumed. You think you smell lemons and peonies. But there could be the scent of the peonies in your nose from before.
No, it’s not, there is a corner of fresh blooms in front of you.
But the scent of freshly baked sourdough that dances with the sweet ripeness of fruit and spices is more inviting right now.
You reach for a shopping basket by the entrance. *Do it for the plot.
Shelves are lined with jars of apricot and lavender jam glowing in jewel tones, wheels of imported cheeses exuding earthy richness, and bottles of infused olive oils shimmering under the warm lights. You weave through the displays and rush to the dairy department.
You approach a sleek display of yogurts. You reach for yogurts (plural, yes) with extra fibers, picking up a few and turning them over in your hands.
The gourmet snack aisle calls next. Shelves brim with roasted nuts in sleek packets, dried figs plump with sweetness, and crackers flecked with herbs. As usually, you pause over a bag of pistachios. You put it in your basket, and a bar of organic dark chocolate infused with sea salt.
You approach the counter, and the cashier greets you with a warm smile. She scans your items with care and bags them, while you take out your credit card. Or do you pay with cash? I never. Not in the store. Imagine how long the line would be behind me.
BOUJEE CITY SPRING OUTFITS FOR OUT AND ABOUT THE CITY
Meet the boujeest walkable spring outfits before you meet with the girlies in the city. Dressing for a day with girlfriends calls for trendy shades and precious embellishments that won’t slow you down as you chase them all over the shopping mall.
5 SHORT TRENCH COAT ON A SHORT TWEED DRESS AND BLOCK HEEL AIRY BLUE SLINGBACK PUMPS
Shopping for clothes means trying things on even if it is just for the plot. So a carefully chosen outfit is a game-changer. Also, we all know the case of that housewife who wasn’t allowed to enter a Chanel store.
Worry not, wearing any of the outfits presented on Brunette from Wall Street, this could never happen to you.
Now, let’s go back to the plot.
The moment you arrive, your friends’ faces light up, and their compliments start showering – luckily, you are wearing a trench coat over that chic little dress.
6 AIRY BLUE SHORT TWEED JACKET ON WHITE SILK SHIRT AND DARK INDIGO 70s STYLE WIDE-LEG JEANS WITH WHITE BOOTIES
Now we all know how your trip to the shopping mall will end. I can already see you sipping champagne while ordering brunch at the newly open spot.
Long walks up and down the shopping mall call for comfortable shoes, no cap. But new IT spots, call for something truly exceptional and fashionable. Luxury boho outfit then? I say yes!
*This outfit doubles up for the hair salon, also. I plan to wear it for my next appointment. I wore head to toe black outfit last month, so I want to show up in colours this time around.
SIMPLE SPRING CITY OUTFITS TO WALK AROUND
Now this outfit edit would not be complete without at least one Veja sneakers outfit.
But how to style them?
Let’s pair them with black leggings. POV 17% of you (judging, and we need to lower this number) will want to wear leggings to the city regardless of the outfits I have just shown you anyway.
OK, let’s create a chic outfit with black leggings and the most fashionable pair of sneakers.
7 SAFARI JACKET WITH BLACK SLIM-FIT PANTS AND VEJA SNEAKERS
Obv, the leggings I’m wearing are not real leggings, but super skinny pants with pockets that are as comfortable as leggings.

Spring’s changeable nature demands strategic layering. Start with a quality foundation piece like a silk shirt or lightweight dress, then add removable layers such as a trench coat, safari jacket, or fashionable cardigan. The outfits featured in the outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street showcase how versatile pieces like the white crepe silk shirt can transition between multiple looks with different layering combinations. The goal is creating outfits that can adapt as temperatures fluctuate throughout your day in the city.

Even small details like frilled patterned socks or a braided headband can transform basic pieces into a carefully curated look. But you might want to take the guesswork out of styling with a pair of precious walkable shoes. See the outfits with jeans and walkable shoes in this spring outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street.
A button-front dress paired with comfortable yet stylish shoes (like block heel slingbacks) makes for the ultimate shopping outfit. As explained in the spring city outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street, dresses allow for quick and easy try-ons while already wearing footwear that will complement potential purchases. Add a short trench in case of the cold or rain and you’ve created the perfect blend of function and fashion.
Focus on quality foundations, thoughtful proportions, and strategic accessorizing. Opt for natural fabrics that breathe well, shoes with proper support, and silhouettes that allow freedom of movement. All the outfits in the walkable spring city outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street demonstrate how intentional styling can create looks that transition seamlessly between walking tours, museum visits, shopping expeditions, and brunch with friends—without sacrificing either comfort or style.
Create adaptable outfits with smart layering pieces. Start with versatile foundations like the white crepe silk shirt or a lightweight dress, then add protective yet stylish layers such as the grey trench coat or navy blue short trench. Accessorize with items that serve both fashion and function—the braided headband keeps hair in place during unexpected spring breezes while adding style. Finally, choose footwear like the one presented in the outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street that remains comfortable even if you’re caught in a sudden shower and need to walk briskly.
A pair of cool shoes with wide-leg jeans and tweed jacket gives the perfect balance – see in the outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street. This outfit is sophisticated enough for a stylish brunch while practical enough for post-meal walk. Other excellent options include the silk shirt with cardigan and navy shorts paired with golden ballet flats, or the button-front tweed dress with block heel slingbacks – both offering the polished-yet-practical balance essential for social gatherings that involve walking.
Spring invites brighter colors, but maintaining sophistication requires balance. Instead of overwhelming your look with multiple vibrant pieces, introduce color strategically through a single statement item or thoughtful accessories. See in the walkable spring outfit edit for the city on Brunette from Wall Street.
Spring is the perfect season to play with texture after winter’s heavier fabrics. Incorporate tweeds, crepe silk, suede, and thin wool for a dimension that catches spring light beautifully.
Create visual cohesion through thoughtful details. Consider proportional balance (like cropped jackets with high-waisted pants), color echoing (white boots with a white shirt), or textural harmony (tweed with patent leather). These walkable spring outfits in the outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street demonstrate the mentioned principles in action. Even when pairing simple pieces like jeans and a button-down, attention to detail—like the relationship between hem lengths and footwear—transforms basics into deliberately styled looks.
While the trench coat remains a perennial spring favorite, the spring city outfits presented on Brunette from Wall Street bring several versatile alternatives into the mix. The safari jacket offers structured utility with a contemporary edge, while the quilted black jacket adds texture without bulk. For dressier occasions, a short tweed jacket provides both warmth and sophistication.
Begin by reintroducing lighter fabrics and more varied silhouettes while maintaining layering options. The white crepe silk shirt featured throughout the spring city outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street exemplifies the perfect transition piece—substantial enough for cooler days when paired with a jacket or cardigan, yet light enough to feel seasonally appropriate. Gradually incorporate spring footwear like slingbacks or sneakers while still keeping options for variable temperatures. The walkable spring city outfits featured in the outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street show the best transitional combinations that work throughout the season.
Thoughtfully chosen accessories create distinction without overwhelming your look. Explore the most fashionable accessories at the moment in this outfit edit on Brunette from Wall Street.

Comfort is paramount. Opt for breathable fabrics and, crucially, footwear that supports you throughout the day. Think stylish sneakers, comfortable ballet flats, or block heels that blend fashion with function.
It’s all about strategic layering and versatile pieces. A lightweight trench coat or a stylish cardigan can adapt to changing temperatures. Choose dresses or skirts with movement and pair them with comfortable yet chic shoes. Accessories like a small bag that hangs on your shoulder or elbow keep your hands free, and a silk scarf can add a touch of elegance while providing extra warmth if needed.
Look for shoes with good arch support and cushioning. Avoid anything too tight or restrictive. Stylish sneakers with a supportive sole, comfortable ballet flats or even loafers, or low block heels are excellent choices. Consider the terrain – cobblestones and uneven pavements require sturdy footwear.
Yes. Choose mini lengths that allow for easy movement. A-line or flowy styles are ideal. Pair them with comfortable shoes like ballet flats or block heels for a chic and practical look.
Sunglasses are essential for sunny days, but what you really need is a jacket with pockets to keep your hands free.

Focus on lightweight, breathable layers (think trench coats, utility jackets, or cardigans) paired with flexible staples like stretchy trousers, mini dresses, or shorts. For footwear, choose shoes you can actually walk in.
