Admittedly, I don’t know if this skirt runs small, or the elastic band simply hugs my waist perfectly. Still, the size XS, that I’m wearing, fits me perfectly. And no, I didn’t gain weight during the pandemic. I’m still a little less than (50 cm) 20 inches in the waist.

Anyway, I have a feeling that H&M altered the size of this skirt recently. After reading all the reviews (by the way, this skirt is rated with 4.6 * – based on 136 customer reviews) I figured out that more ladies find this skirt true to its size now than they did when this skirt first came out.
