From the light blue straight jeans, dark blue mom jeans, and even black ripped skinny jeans! Not mentioning how comfortable and fashionable these hiking booties are. No wonders why hiking boots have their own emoji recently. Yes, it’s the hiking-inspired boots we are talking about this time. And here is how to style hiking boots with skinny jeans in 2021. Now that skinny jeans are out of style.

No skinny jeans are not in style in 2021! If you like it or not, skinny jeans are not fashionable anymore. Still, this doesn’t mean we are actually tossing our favourite skinny jeans away. At least, I’m not. If you ask me, skinny jeans are just perfect for ice skating. Plus they are the best pants to wear with the lug sole boots and platform hiking boots – the new winter boots everyone chic is wearing this winter.

IT BOOTS OF WINTER 2021 GO SO WELL WITH SKINNY JEANS

Yes, there are new boots in the town. And they go so well with the skinny jeans. Well, actually they are not that new anymore. Hiking boots were all over Paris, London, Milan and New York seasons ago already. I even wrote about this new trend – the hiking-inspired fashion trend, several times already.

Anyway, winter 2021 is the season of platform hiking boots and lug sole boots. Which go the best with skinny jeans. Skinny jeans and hiking boots are for sure my favourite winter 2021 paring. Too bad, platform hiking boots are no good for hiking.

Still, who cares? As long as we can climb to the top floor of our favourite department stores, Galeries Lafayette and Le Bon Marché to see Paris from the above and don’t slip or stumble on our way to the top, we are good to go.

Nevertheless, the point is that these hiking-inspired ankle boots will take you far. Not only regarding the distance but fashion sense as well. HOW TO WEAR PLATFORM HIKING BOOTS

So, how to wear platform hiking boots this winter then? Apart from the pencil skirt and bodycon cocktail dress with whatever you want. Just not wherever you want. I hate to write this, but unless you work in fashion, hiking boots are, same as the skinny jeans, not your 9-5 weekday shoes if you work in the office and you must dress up to the dressing code.

Even though building your career seems like climbing to the top of the mountain most of the time, these hiking boots won’t take you to that top. Nor as said before, the actual top of the mountain. But they are, however, good rain and snow boots. Thanks to the chunky rubber sole that prevents you from slipping or getting wet.

Furthermore, these boots are great ankle boots for walking long distances around the town, or countryside. You can’t even imagine how comfortable these hiking boots from See by Chloé (shop here) are. Truth be told, these hiking-inspired boots are more comfortable than my real hiking boots. Those that are actually meant for hiking.

Anyway, as said you can wear your hiking boots, hiking-inspired boots with almost everything. Even with the skinny jeans. Yes, your favourite type of jeans that you otherwise can’t wear with any other shoes but sneakers, lug sole boots and ballerina flats. And in some cases over the knee boots. But not slouchy, as they don’t really look that good with the skinny jeans. Plus the colour of the skinny jeans and OTK boots must match.

Anyway, there is no such thing as colour mismatching when it comes to the hiking boots and skinny jeans this season. Or any other jeans, as a matter of fact. You can take any type and colour of jeans and wear them with these hiking boots as it was a match made in fashion editorial.

SKINNY JEANS

These skinny jeans that I’m wearing here are from Diesel (shop here). Which, are with no doubt, the best skinny jeans ever. They are so stretchy and comfortable that feel like yoga pants. I guess these skinny jeans were made for hiking.

And what is even better, they stay the same after years of wearing and washing. Yes, I wash my jeans on repeat. Like for the last 3 or 4 years. I don’t know exactly when I got them. But I know it has been more than 4 years ago. And they still look and feel the same.

If you ask me, a good pair of jeans should stay soft and look same on you no matter how often you wash and wear them. Anyway, as said, these ripped black jeans come from Diesel. You can shop them here.
