IT’S PRETTY, BUT I HAVE NOWHERE TO WEAR TWEED SKIRT SUIT

How to Wear Yellow Tweed this Spring

“It’s pretty, but I have nowhere to wear it!” I bet you are guilty of saying these words for at least 80 % of the dresses and pretty outfits you see on Instagram and LIKEtoKNOW.it. Especially for a tweed skirt suit. Anyway, I’m sure you won’t repeat this for the yellow tweed mini skirt suit after reading this blog post. Here is why …

There is one big reason I decided to write about this theme while sharing photos of this pretty yellow tweed mini skirt suit. It’s because of that nonsense in your mind – it’s pretty but where to wear it. You know what I mean? I’m pretty sure you do. It happened to all of us. Yes to me too. Not in a while though, but years ago when I was still trying to figure out how the fashion really works.

PRETTY TWEED SKIRT SUIT

Anyway, this yellow tweed mini skirt suit is undoubtedly one of those clothes that looks pretty, but when you think better, trying to picture yourself wearing it, you realize you have nowhere to wear it. Wrong thoughts! Believe me. You should always think twice. There are so many places and opportunities to wear a tweed mini skirt suit like this.

Plus, you can separate the jacket from the skirt and wear them with other clothes too.

I HAVE NOWHERE TO WEAR IT

As said that thought about not having an opportunity or place to wear a certain outfit is rather fullish then legit. There is always a way and moreover a place to show up in that pretty outfit. Well only when is not. Writing about this outfit that I’m wearing here, the yellow tweed mini skirt suit, I guess we should better start with, where you shouldn’t wear this outfit.

YOU REALLY SHOULDN’T WEAR THIS YELLOW TWEED MINI SKIRT SUIT FOR …

There is whatsoever a little legit reason why you first thought about not having anywhere to wear this yellow tweed mini skirt suit. The truth is that you can’t wear it every day and everywhere you go.

#1 WORK

You certainly can’t wear this tweed skirt suit for work as the skirt is too short. Also, the. Yellow, regardless of how fashionable it is this year, might be a little too bright and sunny for corporate business. I mean who will take you seriously if you look like candy or even worse a waffle?
Ps. Be sure to check what to wear to the office this spring after you finish reading this post.

#2 DATE WITH A GUY

Unless you are dating a dandy or a “salon” kind of a guy who is taking you to a day date at Le Bristol Paris (you are lucky if you are), wearing this yellow tweed mini skirt suit is not the best option. Not even for a day date. Twining with your boyfriend might be overrated, but your style should match in a way. You know what I mean? If you are dating a tech guy who keeps showing up to your dates wearing a hoodie and cargo pants, you two won’t match if you wear a tweed suit. On the other hand, leather and tweed or tweed and denim is f* good match.

#3 PARTY

Because this simply isn’t a party dress. You should wear a fashionable little black dress instead.

#4 YOUR WEDDING

Merely because it’s yellow. A white tweed skirt suit would be a great choice for your Wednesday wedding whatsoever.

#5

Wait there is no #5! This is pretty much it. Honestly, I can’t remember any other place or situation you couldn’t wear this outfit for. Whatsoever, let’s have a look where and when to wear this yellow tweed mini skirt suit now.

WHERE TO WEAR A YELLOW TWEED MINI SKIRT

I know I haven’t really answered your question and solve that nowhere to wear problem by simply telling you where you shouldn’t wear this outfit. Nothing to complain about. I made a list where to wear this yellow tweed mini skirt suit. And other pretty outfits. Especially those that bring extra points for you at your mother in law or your grandma.

#1 WHEN VISITING YOUR GRANDMA

You should have seen how thrilled my grandmother was when I showed her this yellow tweed suit the other day. And these photos. Now three days after she still praises my look. She simply can’t stop thinking about this tweed suit. And you know what this means … I’m her favourite granddaughter for sure. By the way, have you seen how I wore tweed for Sunday brunch in winter?

#2 BRUNCH WITH HIS PARENTS

I already wrote about what to wear for brunch at his parents. Yes, that’s why this tweed suit looked familiar to you.

#3 AFTERNOON TEA IN PARIS

Or London. Or New York, or Ljubljana and other small cities. No matter where. Still, there is no better place to wear this mini tweed suit than Laduree in Paris. Well, I actually wore it at the afternoon tea at Le Bristol Paris and Ritz, oh I wish I had photos from there. Anyway, that Chanel look, even though entirely fake, is perfect for afternoon tea in Paris or somewhere else. Go here to see how I styled my yellow tweed suit with fishnets for my afternoon tea date.

#4 DATE WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS

Unlike for a date with your boyfriend, this is a perfect outfit for a day date with your squad. And yes, Carrie Bradshaw would wear this for a date with her girls too. By the way, have you seen the other outfit Carrie and her squad would wear for brunch this spring?

#5 DOCTOR’S APPOINTMENTS OR OTHER APPOINTMENTS

Hopefully, you don’t have to see your doctor anytime soon. But if you do, this is a perfect outfit. Not only it will bring some colours to your pale face, but you will also feel comfortable too. Tested!
In fact, you can wear this tweed suit for any appointment really.

#6 UNI or SCHOOL

In short Gossip Girl. If you are still at the uni, then you definitely need this tweed suit. It’s just perfect for uni. Have I mentioned tweed will be in fashion for fall winter, already?

#7 WEDDING

Even though the skirt is slightly too short for the church, this tweed suit is a great choice for the wedding. And yes, I mean for a church wedding too.

#8

And #8? Wait, instead of adding different places and opportunities for which you could wear this outfit, I have something better for you. You can wear this tweed suit as separates. Showing you the next time. After all, you need to get this tweed suit first.

YELLOW TWEED SUIT

No, you haven’t missed any of my previous blog posts in which I would wear this tweed suit. Because it’s new. I just got it! Remember my morning shopping spree I was writing about on my Instagram around Easter? Well that was when I ordered this chic yellow tweed suit. It’s from Storets, and you can shop it here.

Oh, a little tip on the size. Storets has rather small sizes. Lucky for me. Size S fits me perfectly. And I’m actually really skinny. I have 47 cm in my waist and 80 cm in my hips. So yes, the sizes are small. Still, if you don’t get this suit in your size or it runs out of stock (might happen as this is one of the IT clothes fashion bloggers are wearing now), I added some similar blazers and skirts in the widget above.

Ps. That bun you see, that’s just the skirt. Another reason why I love this yellow mini skirt so much.

PLEXI SHOES

To add more modern feel to this wannabe Chanel outfit, I styled the yellow skirt suit with my favourite pumps this spring. My Gianvito Rossi plexi pumps (shop here). I think this blush colour goes perfectly with the yellow, don’t you think? The black and white pair might be too much of a Chanel. While the light blue would work too. Anyway, be sure to swipe through the gallery below to find these chic plexi heels in all the colours of the rainbow. Well almost all. I haven’t found yellow Gianvito Rossi plexi pumps yet.

MORE FASHION MORE YELLOW AND MORE TWEED

More tweed? Bien sûr. Tweed is in fashion now and will be in fashion the entire season. So better get something in tweed now, when it’s still somewhat cheap. Yes, now, before the summer, is the best time to shop tweed.

Finally, don’t forget to share this post with your friends. And tell them about this chic yellow tweed mini skirt suit. You know what they say, sharing is caring. Besides I’m sure, all of your friends will be grateful if you shared this post with that friend who keeps moaning she has nowhere to wear all those pretty clothes you want her to wear. By the way, when was the last time you said: “It’s pretty, but I have nowhere to wear it”?
