So I have news for you. A good and a bad. Oh, and boho is back in style for spring summer 2019. But I am telling you this separately since I still don’t know whether bringing bohemian trend is bad or good news. Whatsoever, the bad news is that I only have one boho dress. But hey, I know well how to style it.
I get a commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.
Well, actually I have two boho dresses. The one you see me wearing here and the other one, a silky one that you will see me wearing soon again. But looking to the spring summer 2019 fashion trends the other dress doesn’t really qualify as a legit bohemian dress.
Yes, you guessed it right. 2019 spring summer is truly bringing back boho fashion trend in all it’s bloom. This season is boho, or it’s nothing.
BOHO IS BACK IN FASHION FOR SPRING SUMMER 2019
I don’t know about you, but knowing the bohemian style is back in fashion for spring summer 2019 is not the best news for me. Surely you know I’m not a bohemian type of girl. And anything boho is just too casual for me.
Luckily this fashion trend is here only for spring summer 2019 and will be gone come autumn when we swap 70s fashion trend for the 90s, gothic and grunge. By the way, a glimpse of autumn winter 2019/20 fashion trends is coming up soon in my Paris Fashion Week trend report.
Nevertheless, until then, the boho style is in fashion. In fact, bohemian is one of the fashion trends that will mark spring summer 2019/20.
Ps. More about SS 2019/20 fashion trends is coming up on Brunette from Wall Street in a few hours. So be sure to subscribe to notification alert (click on the little bell in the right bottom corner to sign up).
Anyway, back to the boho trend and moreover how to style a boho dress to make it feel right for you.
HOW I STYLE MY ONE AND ONLY BOHO DRESS FOR SPRING 2019
As said, this is more or less the only boho dress that I have in my closet right now. Admittedly, I could find some boho signs in other dresses too. After all 2019 boho applies to not only the ugly print and loose silhouette but lace and romantic finishes as well.
But I prefer to see other fashion trends in the rest of my clothes. And claim this dress as the only legit bohemian dress. So I don’t need to worry about how to style another boho dress. Because styling a boho dress really causes me stress.
And I’m not ashamed to confess, it took me a while to find the right things to wear with this boho dress. The thing is that nothing looks right with a boho dress for me when I’m in Europe.
I guess it would be easier if I were going to Coachella or some other summer music festival instead of out and about in the city. In Europe. Or at least out and about somewhere in the midwest or south of the US.
I feel it’s easier to style a bohemian dress when you know you are surrounded by sand from the desert or the beach. And not concrete and refined European design.
Anyway, I’m in Ljubljana this time and here is how I style a bohemian dress for spring in Europe.
SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE
And yes, you can copy my look. This boho outfit looks too chic to keep it just for myself. As always you can save, pin and print this fashion cheat sheet. Oh, and share it with your friend who is off to the South of France this month. I’m sure she will love it too.
Ps. You can shop all the things you see in this collage by clicking on them. Click inside the pink brackets. Or in the widget below. Furthermore in the copy that follows.
Since this boho dress is one of the ugliest dresses I own, I’m happy to write, this dress is sold out. Well, at least that is what I assume. I bought it more than 8 years ago in Madrid. And had it ever since. Mostly in my wardrobe.
Truth to be told, I wanted to get rid of this dress several times before. But I somehow always change my mind in the very last minute. For the sake of its quality and this lovely draping. I really like the bottom trim of this dress.
Anyway, since the boho trend is back in fashion for spring summer 2019, you can find similar boho dresses in the stores right now.
Wait, before you turn off your computer and put down your phone to run into the store, browse through the widget below. I found several boho dresses that look just like mine. Only better.
COAT OVER DRESS
No, I’m not wearing this double-breasted Weekend Max Mara wool coat (shop Max Mara coat here) only because it’s still quite cold to be walking around only in a dress. But to also to add a touch of elegance to this boho outfit.
A double-breasted coat or a tailored trench coat is undoubtedly the easiest way to upgrade a casual boho dress. Ps. You can swap wool coat for this trench coat. Or this utility trench coat. Those big pockets look surprisingly well with a bohemian dress.
OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
As it goes to the shoes, I’m wearing bohemian boots this time. My old Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots (shop SW boots here) turned out to be the best shoes to wear with this blue boho dress.
Besides, as written before (here in case you missed) brown over the knee boots are the most fashionable over the knee boots in 2019. And yes, we wear neutrals with boho looks in 2019.
MAKEUP AND HAIR ACCESSORIES
What is boho outfit without hair accessories, right? Especially when hairpins are so fashionable as they are this season. Feathers, pearls, butterflies, sparkly pins, and all that stays in your hair. Minus that Diane Pernet’s horrendous hairdo.
However, I didn’t put feathers and butterflies in my hair this time. To make this boho outfit Europe ready I fancied this beautiful pear hairclip in my hair. Shop similar pearl hairclip here. Or from the widget below.
Lastly the makeup. I did my makeup pretty much as usual. Using nothing else but my favourite makeup products that you can find in the widget below. The only thing new is the lipstick. Well, lip balm actually. I’m wearing Dior Lip glow balm (102 Matte Raspberry) this time (shop Dior Lip Glow here).
MORE BOHO LOOKS AND MORE SPRING SUMMER 2019 FASHION TRENDS
So this is how I wear boho dress in spring 2019. And no, even though I dislike the bohemian style, this is not the only boho look you will see on Brunette from Wall Street in 2019. However, it might be only the one out of two you will see me wearing in Europe. Yes, I’m off to a very special place where boho style is a must. Ps. A hint where I’m going next is in my Instagram bio. So make sure you follow me on Instagram too.
