Well, not a wedding in Venice really. Although you must admit, Piran looks like a little Venice. Minus the river canals and gondolas of course. Anyway, this yellow outfit that I’m wearing would be a perfect wedding outfit for any elegant wedding this season. Especially if the bride didn’t pin a note about the wedding dress code to her wedding invitation.

Moreover, dressed like this, in a long tulle skirt and matching tweed jacket you will be the best-dressed wedding guest for sure.

HOW COULD YOU NOT BE THE BEST-DRESSED WEDDING GUEST WHEN YELLOW IS ON TREND

I probably don’t need to remind you that yellow is one of 2023 biggest fashion trends. And yellow is one of the most fashionable colours of spring summer 2023, do I?

And yes, the long skirt and tweed jacket are on that list too. Why else would I wear them anyway? Although thinking better, I would probably wear them for a wedding anyway.

You know what the fashion police says, wear tweed and tulle and the title of a best-dressed wedding guest is yours. Unless … you come overdressed.

Whatsoever, we will make sure this doesn’t happen to you. I’m sharing my tips and other wedding outfits for wedding guests in a bit.

Now back to this all in the yellow outfit I’m wearing while walking around Piran, and thinking I’m actually walking in Venice. Which happen to be only a stone’s throw away.

By the way, I’m going to Venice soon. And I might wear this long tulle yellow skirt as well. After all, it’s a staple spring summer skirt.

LONG TULLE SKIRT

You know this skirt already, it’s from Needle & Thread. Remember how I wore it with a striped crop top? Oh, that set was just dreamy. Well, every time I wear this long tulle skirt feels so.

Anyway, as said, this long skirt comes from Needle & Thread. But the bad thing is that it’s from the last season, read not available online in yellow anymore. Luckily this long sheer skirt is a staple piece, and Needle & Thread sends out one alike every year. Just in different colours. This year in powder pink (shop here), and black (shop here). Ps. Just don’t wear that black tulle skirt for a wedding. Brides are seldom happy seeing their wedding guests dressed in black. I know I wouldn’t want you to wear black for my wedding.

SHORT TWEED JACKET

It seems like this sweet short tweed jacket from Storets is my favourite jacket this season. That’s because it really is. Next to a white blazer of course. But this tweed jacket from Storets is, unfortunately already sold out.

But good news, I found a similar tweed jacket in yellow and in blush, to match the Needle & Thread skirt, for you. This tweed jacket (see here) goes with blush or a yellow skirt so well you can say you are wearing a monochrome outfit either way.

Well, if you spend all your money on the wedding gift, you will probably want to check this tweed jacket too. Have I mentioned you can get a tweed jacket for less than $100 at Storets? Sure it’s not a real wool tweed, but no one will notice it’s not a legit tweed this time around. Especially not if you style it with a tulle skirt. All eyes on tulle!

Ps. If that thought, sure this tweed jacket is nice, but I won’t have anywhere to wear it after the wedding, came up to your mind; let me tell you, you are wrong. Proven! Remember I have shown you 5 different ways to style a tweed jacket after the wedding.

SHOES AND ACCESSORIES

I’m not wearing much of accessories this time for a reason. And no, not because I was late and didn’t have time to grab some accessories on my way. But because adding anything else but the bag, which is apparently a must-have for every wedding guest, would be too much.

You simply shouldn’t add any accessories to this outfit. Even the hat would be too much this time. Also, be sure to put on as modest shoes as possible. The plexi shoes from Gianvito Rossi, the ones I’m wearing (shop them here) are a great choice. Furthermore, these pumps are very comfortable. I can wear them all day long, plus dance in the same shoes till dawn.

As it goes to the bag, any chain strap shoulder bag would do. As long as it doesn’t match your shoes! And no, shoes and bag don’t have to match for the wedding. In fact, they really shouldn’t.

Anyway, this yellow Chanel Boy bag you spotted in the fashion cheat sheet is probably the most beautiful yellow bag ever (buy here) and the best bag to wear for a wedding. Still, if you can’t get a Chanel, any white chain shoulder bag should do. Sure, it won’t be the same, but hey, it worked for me.

WEDDING MAKEUP AND HAIR

Not sure if anyone ever told you this, but creating perfect wedding makeup can be a big problem for everyone. Not just a bride. But wedding guests too. One stroke too much is one stroke too much. Talking from my sister’s experiences. Remember the wedding starts in the morning. And you can always add a little more makeup during the day.

Don’t have an empty bag hanging off your shoulder. Use it to put in all the makeup you need. Ps. Browse through the widget to see what makeup to store into your wedding purse.
