HEAD OVER HEELS FOR SNEAKERS AND MINI SKIRTS
After so many emails that I got about how to wear sneakers and skirt in the winter, there was nothing left for me to do but put on some sneakers and a mini and make this outfit work for winter. Yes, you can wear white sneakers, and a mini skirt in winter too. Well, as long as you choose the right combination that can combat the snow and cold.
For all of you who don’t really get why we are head over heels for sneakers and mini skirt, let me remind you of this one thing. Both sneakers and mini skirts are in fashion right now.
Anyway, fashion aside, we are not in love with sneakers and mini skirts just because they are in fashion. The truth is we love this trendy street style because it’s the chicest way to wear a mini skirt and the chicest way to wear sneakers.
Well, right after the sneakers and suit combination that I’m about to wear quite often this season. But more about the sneaker suit style when it actually gets warmer. It’s still winter here, and we still need to discuss sneakers and mini skirts.
Moreover, we love sneakers and mini skirts in one outfit because this is the way Parisians wear their mini skirts in real life. You didn’t think they really run around Paris in ballet pumps, did you? Well, they do, but not when wearing mini skirts.
The chicest Parisians wear ballet pumps with jeans and mini skirts with sneakers. Surely, they might be hiding a pair of pumps in their canvas bags, but you will more likely see them wearing white sneakers and a black mini skirt on the streets, especially in the morning.
HOW TO WEAR SNEAKERS AND MINI SKIRT IN WINTER
Anyway, we are not trying to copycat the way Parisians wear sneakers and mini skirts this time. I already showed you how to steal this look from Parisians twice before. This time is all about how to wear sneakers and mini skirts in cold winter with sheer tights. Ps. Parisians tend to wear mini skirts with black tights and white sneakers.
So how to wear sneakers and mini skirt in winter then? Quite simple, actually. All you need to do is to find a warm tweed skirt, grab a long wool coat and put a hat or headband on your head. Oh, and don’t forget the tights.

Oh, and don’t forget to share it with your girl squad. Especially with that friend of yours who keeps saying she can’t wear mini skirts because she has no shoes to wear them with.

MORE ABOUT THIS MINI SKIRT AND SNEAKERS WINTER OUTFIT
You know pretty much all the things I’m wearing this time from my previous posts. Still, in case you forgot, here is where to get them. Well most of them or at least very similar ones.

WINTER WARMERS
Starting from the head this time. With this soft and warm headband from Bart’s. In case you are wondering, it’s made of faux fur. And I bought it on Amazon. Yes, even fashion girls swipe through Amazon occasionally. You can get the same headband over here.
Ha, it seems I actually tried to bring a Parisian touch to this outfit after all. With red lipstick. I’m wearing Dior matte red lipstick. My favourite one of course. You can buy it here.
UNDER THE COAT
You already know this double-breasted wool coat. I mean, it’s my staple coat every winter. Especially when it’s very cold, or when I need to wear an outwear that doesn’t overshine everything else.
My coat is from Weekend Maxmara. And it happens to be sold out already. But you can get almost the same coat here.
Under this double-breasted coat, you can see me wearing a black silk top from Juicy Couture. Yes, the same top you saw in my capsule winter outfits.
OMG, I’m repeating myself. Well, you know what? I don’t care! I mean, let’s be honest, show me a 20 something girl who doesn’t wear her favourite pieces on repeat. Besides, the legit fashion style is all about wearing the same pieces in a million different ways.
Anyway, you can swap a silk blouse for a black sweatshirt if you want.
MINI SKIRTS AND SNEAKERS
Finally, the mini skirt and sneakers. This black and white plaid tweed mini skirt is from Storets. I’m afraid it’s already sold out, but there is a black and white tweed skirt you can get from H&M over here. Or get a plaid black and red tweed from Balmain over here. Ps. I’m wearing my tweed mini skirt in the wrong way. I turned the front to the back to make it look shorter. Otherwise, this is the same skirt as I wore over here with the white turtleneck. Remember?
Lastly the sneakers. I’m wearing my old white sneakers from Diesel. Can’t say they are the most comfortable sneakers I have. Because they certainly aren’t. I really don’t get why. I mean, they are made of Italian leather, and they were so comfortable when I tried them on in Diesel Showroom in Milan. But the one I have just don’t feel the same. I don’t know, but perhaps there was a slight divergence in the process when they were making my pair. Or I simply don’t know how to walk in flats. Wait, this is actually confirmed. Anyway, you can order them here. Try them on and if it’s not a match, return them back. Oh, I just love shopping online.
Almost forgot about the gloves and the bag. You can find them all in the gallery above.
