I Bet You Will Ditch All Your Haircare Products after You Read This

THE HAIRCARE PRODUCTS I USE THIS SEASON

While we jumped from winter to summer so quickly, everyone is struggling with dandruff or dry hair at least. Including me! Wait, lying! Not anymore. After I swap my staple haircare products for these, my hair changed. Lying again! My entire life changed after I met Oribe. And no I’m not exaggerating. So yes, I’m cheating Balmain with Oribe this season and I love it!

As promised in my previous hair blog post, the one in which I shared my horrendous secret (no not that one about the hair fall out, but this one here), I’m sharing all the haircare products I’m using at the moment, between the seasons.

HAIR LESSON #1: STOP BEING LOYAL TO ONE SINGLE HAIRCARE BRAND FOR TOO LONG

I already wrote how being loyal to Balmain Haircare products turned out to be bad for my hair this season. As the haircare products I used didn’t give my hair what it needs. In case you missed, I wrote about this in my previous blog post over here. So just to recap, I swap Balmain for Oribe and Hair by Sam Mcknight. And my hair loved it.

In fact, my hair has never been so luscious before. My hair is soft, silky and it glowing. But I don’t need to say this. You have already noticed by yourself on my Instagram. Blame it on you if you haven’t.

Anyway, back to the haircare products I use this season.

HAIRCARE PRODUCTS ME AND MY HAIR LOVE THIS SPRING

Well, I would be lying if I said I threw all the Balmain products I glorified so far into the trash. Because I didn’t. I still use the Balmain brush and Sun protection spray. But as it comes to the rest of the products, I’m refilling my hair care cabinet with Oribe and Hair by Sam Mcknight.

I get a commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.

HAIR BY SAM MCKNIGHT

I really like the Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist hairspray from Hair by Sam Mcknight (shop here), but I’m afraid I like it only due to that pretty pink bottle. Don’t get me wrong, I like the texture of my hair too. And that done undone lazy girl hair look. It looks tres chic. Still, my hair might be too long for this look. Therefore I’m getting the silver bottle the next time. Also, I hate the smell of my hair after I use this mist. And the taste. I somehow inhaled it once and that taste was horrible. I could have felt it in my mouth for days. You really shouldn’t use it in a bathroom. No matter how big your bathroom is.

ORIBE

As it goes to the Oribe. I love it! There is nothing else to add. Thanks, Jenny, for saying me I need Oribe in my life. I clearly needed it. And not only the anti-dandruff shampoo (shop here). My absolutely favourite is the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil (shop here). I use it instead of Balmain Argan Oil now. Must say, Oribe’s oil entirely wins Balmain’s here. My hair has never been so soft and silky as it’s now.

Beside this oil and the anti-dandruff shampoo, I also use the Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo (shop here) (not so often as the anti-dandruff shampoo, though – I want to finish that bottle first before using solely the lust repair & restore shampoo). And Gold Lust Repair & Restore Conditioner (shop here).

MY HAIRCARE WISH LIST

I still need to get some hair mask and that travel size hairspray. I want that one too. And some styling spray or cream. I use the oil instead of it now. I mean it works well for styling also, but who knows, perhaps my blowout would look even better with that Featherbalm Weightless Styler. Anyway, need to try it for sure.

Oh dear, it seems like I am getting slightly over-enthusiastic for Oribe. Definitely, need to cool down. I don’t want to stick to one brand only. Besides, I need to figure it out if this line, the Gold Lust is even good for my hair. I don’t want my hair colour to change. Saying this, because that happened when I started using Balmain. Lured with the luxury of Balmain, I bought the first product available. And ended with slightly red/orange hair. Luckily my hair colour went back to normal after few months.

Whatsoever, here all the haircare products that are on my wishlist now. Ps. Getting them this week for sure.

DARJA’S WISH LIST

My sister has her eyes, well hair in this case, on these products. Letting you know if and how much she likes them soon.

MORE HAIRCARE AND MORE HAIR LESSONS

By the way, this blog post wasn’t sponsored by Oribe. Even though it might sound so. Well, even if it were, I would say the same thing. I simply fall in love with Oribe. Still, I might bring back Balmain the next season.

Oh, that loyalty thing. Loyalty aside, as said before, the best haircare you could give to your hair is the one that follows the needs of your hair. And if this means you need to change the products you are using as the temperatures go up/down, the humidity is low/high, then do so. Because seasonal haircare is a thing.

As said, I might even bring back Balmain for summer. Although not sure yet. I love the way my hair looks now, after using Oribe for a while. Still one never knows what my hair might need in the summer.

HAIRLESSONS TO REMEMBER

Before I let you check all the hair products, just a few hair lessons you should remember if you want to have beautiful, long, healthy hair. Ps. For hair that also grows really fast, go here. Oh and be sure to check the travel size haircare products I mentioned before. Find them at the end of this post.

list of Lessons to learn if you want beautiful hair

1# CHEATING IS GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR

Cheating on your old haircare products I mean. And on your hairstylist too. Just don’t tell Tomaž, my hairstylist I said this. Honestly, I haven’t done this yet. But I surely know few girls with a horrible haircut who should really cheat on their hairstylist.

#2 SHOP FOR YOUR HAIR, NOT VANITY

Shop the haircare products your hair needs. Not products you like because they come in a beautiful pink bottle. A note to myself for sure!

#3 SEASONAL HAIRCARE IS LEGIT

Remember to change your haircare products as the temperatures go up/down if you keep having bad hair days.

And this is it. Not a lot to remember, but so much to gain if you do. Be sure to check my other hair posts as well. You do want to have a good hair day each day, don’t you? By the way, are you guilty of being loyal to the haircare products that don’t really do much for your hair too? Do you know Oribe already?
