THE MOST FASHIONABLE NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY OUTFIT

I already wrote what party outfits are in fashion this holiday season over here in 2017 Holiday trends, but as you are already running late, let me recap in three words. Velvet, sequins and luxe pyjamas. Well, that’s four words, but you know what I mean. Anyway, whatever outfit you decide to wear for 2017 New Year’s Eve party, let it be a dress or a suit, it should be either in velvet or with sequins one. Or simply a luxe pyjama.

As you can see I’m wearing my favourite white sequined dress and rose gold sandals this New Year’s Eve. Well, I might change this dress for a blue sequined dress just before the midnight. You know, just in case someone spills champagne on my dress. Anyway, more about this outfit at the end of this post. Now let me finally share few tips on what to do if you don’t have a party dress yet.

#1 DIG IN YOUR CLOSET

This is certainly not a day to scream I have nothing to wear in my closet. Bring out all the dresses you have, all the skirts, all the tops, all the velvet and your silk pyjamas and chemises. Yes, the pyjama trend is still in fashion. And if you by any chance own a silk camisole, a silk chemise, you can wear it as a New Year’s Eve party dress with no doubts. Same goes for the silk luxe pyjamas set. Just make sure it’s a silk one, put on some sandals, jewels, and you are good to go. Oh, and do your hair. Ps. Find more outfit ideas at the end of this post.

I get a commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.

#2 SHOP AT SHOPS WITH EXPRESS DELIVERY

By the way, this is the best time to finally become Amazone Prime member. Anyway, if Amazon express, one-day delivery is not an option for you (I know my postcode is not available for express or one-day delivery. Well not even for two-day delivery to be honest.), then let me tell you Amazon is not your only option. I found few shops that can deliver you your party outfit on time for New Year’s Eve party. Be sure to click on the outfits in the gallery below.

#3 GO TO THE STORE

If you are too late for any online shopping, then go to the store. Luckily for you, I found the most fashionable party dresses and suits you can find in every town. Again, in the widget below. And you can buy the dress on the way to the party. Even though it’s Sunday most of the stores won’t close before 5 pm. Yet be sure to check the schedules before you start your car and leave your home.

#4 LOOK INTO YOUR MOTHER’S CLOSET

Well, if your dress hunt hasn’t been successful after my first three tips, then run to your mommy. The 80s are in, so even though your mother is not the most fashionable lady in the town, there is a slight chance she has just a dress you are looking for the entire holiday season hidden somewhere in her closet. Remember, look for sequins.

#5 GIVE A RING TO YOUR SISTER AND GIRL FRIENDS

If you have no success in your mother’s closet, then sneak into your sister’s closet and steal away that dress she just bought. I know, stealing is not something I should teach you, but hey you definitely don’t want to miss this New Year’s party. Besides, you are actually only borrowing from your sister. And you can always remind your sister to add a forgiveness to her 2018 resolution list.

Surely if your sister caught you stealing her dress and doesn’t want to borrow you anything from her closet, then let’s hope you have more luck with your friends. Call your most fashionable friends, say how much you love their style and ask them to borrow you a dress. By the way, I already lend a half of my closet.

If you don’t have any luck with your girl squad, then keep calling. You know what, perhaps calling your male friends first will turn out to be a better idea than calling your girl squad. Boys do like to save the dress issues and be the heroes of the year, don’t they?

I’m wearing Escada coat. The same one I also wore here. You know in the blog post about how to dress up for an outdoor party. By the way, I’m walking from the Prešeren Square toward the Town Square.

Under this loose black short coat I’m wearing the white sequin dress from Adrianna Papell I bought in Montreal years ago (get similar here), and a white shoulder bag (get similar here).

I finished my look with Stuart Weitzman sandals (get the same rose gold glass beige Nudist sandals here – ps. these are on sale now).

Writing about my Stuart Weitzman sandals, be sure to check how I styled these rose gold sandals with track pants over here.

5 NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY OUTFITS

From New Year’s Eve party at the club to party under the stars and to the last 2017 evening at the opera, Moreover, there’s an outfit for those who are counting down the last seconds of the 2017 and celebrating 2018 in their warm beds, too. And yes, you can get out of the bed and go straight to the real party in this outfit anytime. Surely you didn’t think I will dress you up only for sleep, did you?

Also, be sure to check what to wear under your party dress this NY’s Eve in the widget below. You know, red is for good luck. But black, well black is for a good style.
