Happy Birthday! To ME! Your favorite fashion blogger is celebrating her 20-something birthday this week. And what better way to celebrate my birthday than with a mini bottle of champagne, cake, fresh pink blooms and a bunch of balloons on my pink picnic blanket. Oh and with some autumnal leaves in my hair.
Yes, it’s my birthday this week. Well, it was on Monday, but I’m celebrating my 20-something birthday all week long this year. Starting with a pink picnic. You know I’m such a picnic fan (find all the picnics I had so far here). And the autumnal picnics are too beautiful to be missed. Especially on my birthday.
Besides, I could spend the first day of my birthday among my favourite things; the pink picnic blanket, my cute pink pillows, pink round balloons and 20-something digits, and blooms while having my little moet moment. And most importantly wearing my currently favourite ankle booties and girly suit.
But more about my picnic outfit later, first some fun facts of my birthday picnic.
MY FIRST AUTUMN PICNIC
Not only, this is my first birthday picnic ever, omg I really don’t know why I had never had picnic birthday parties to celebrate my birthday when I was a little girl. Perhaps because my mother was scared of cake spreading all over the blanket. Well, this actually happened at this birthday picnic.
Anyway, I wanted to say, that this picnic, is also my first fall picnic this year. And you must admit picnics in October are always the most beautiful ones. Especially if you are celebrating your birthday.
By the way, do you still remember the very first picnic I had last autumn? No? Then be sure to refresh your memory over here.
BALLOONS IN THE AIR, LEAVES IN THE HAIR AND CAKE EVERYWHERE
Undoubtedly, the autumnal picnics are not only the most beautiful but the most fun as well. Yes, I had, even more, fun at this picnic than on the one in the snow last winter (remember here). And not only because it’s my birthday picnic and I’m having a champagne and a cake.
By the way, have you seen how I popped the champagne on my Insta live? (Ps. be sure to follow me on my Instagram to see my birthday wrapup that’s coming to my Insta story this end of the week.)
Back to the fun part of this fall picnic. Surely, you must have guessed why this pink picnic was so fun. Because of the balloons, of course. Oh and so many other things. Not to say anymore, check the list below.
FUN FACTS FROM MY FALL BIRTHDAY PICNIC
1# I GOT HIT BY THE BALLOON
No, my balloons didn’t escape to the air, thanks to the weights, but I still had a situation with those pink balloons. Yes, the number six hit me in the head when I was dancing around that number with a glass of champagne in my hand.
2# MY HAIR TURNED INTO A SWEET BUSH
Oh, you should have seen my hair. I probably don’t even need to write what happened. In short: autumnal leaves falling from the trees and the cake.
3# CAKE SITUATION
Yes, my birthday cake ended in my hair as well. And on the pink blanket and even on my clothes.
In brief, the cake was everywhere but in my mouth. And no not only because I decided to go back on my sugarfree diet I was on for so many years before I couldn’t resist those macarons in Paris a few weeks ago, but my birthday cake was terrible.
Well, at least the ants who attacked my birthday cakes while I was opening the champagne, liked it. So what happened to the cake in the end? This cake ended up in the trash. Well, that is what was left of it. The most of the cake ended in my hair and on my clothes and the blanket anyway. Luckily we had enough champagne. Besides, champagne counts as a dessert, right?
4# THE CORK HIT MY GIRL SQUAD WHEN I WAS OPENING THE CHAMPAGNE
Ha ha. This was a birthday revenge because you three didn’t want to be in these photos, girls. Ps. You must admit I’m really good with opening the champagne.
5# I GOT DRUNK AFTER MY FIRST GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE
Luckily, I had pillows and my soft pink picnic blanket. Although getting stoned after only one glass of champagne did ruin the rest of the plans I had for Monday. So, yes my birthday party continuous on Thursday. At the golf course as planned. Hopefully, we don’t stay all day long at the 19th hole.
PICNIC AND BIRTHDAY OUTFIT
Finally, my birthday picnic outfit. For my first birthday celebration this week I decided to wear this girly yet chic outfit that fits perfectly the theme of this picnic. And feels comfortable enough for sitting on the picnic blanket and dancing on the grass. Ps. The chunky heels are a must if you dance on the grass. Especially if you hold a glass full of champagne in your hand.
PICNIC DRESS, PARDON PICNIC SUIT
Ups, I’m not really wearing a dress. I decided to wear a dress for my second birthday party that’s happening at the end of the week. Sorry, I can’t show my birthday party dress to you yet. But I can give you a hint. It will be sparkling way more than champagne in your glass.
As you can see I’m wearing a suit at my birthday picnic. Perhaps this is not what a girl should really wear to the autumn picnic in 2017, but hey it’s my birthday. Besides, we still like to bring back the Gossip Girl Style once in a while.
You can get almost the same black tweed blazer from Dolce & Gabbana over here (ps. I also wore this blazer at the autumn harvest over here). You probably remember seeing me in this mini skirt in Paris and also at the brunch with my friends (you know in the blog post over here where I also showed you some other chic brunch outfits you should try on this fall). Shop similar skirt over here.
The romantic ruffled pink blouse. Oh, it’s really been a while since the last time I wore it. I think it was actually in spring with the ripped jeans. Unfortunately, I couldn’t add a link to the same blouse back then. But guess what, I have a link for you now. I found almost the same blouse as the pink blouse I’m wearing over here.
THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR DANCING ON THE GRASS
Lastly, the shoes. I’m wearing my favorite sock booties. Currently favourite. You know what I mean. My fall shopping list (check here if you missed before) is full of cute ankle boots. Yet, these seemed the best option for my birthday picnic. Not only are one of the most fashionable booties this season, but the chunky heels are made for walking as well as for dancing on the grass. You can get the same sock boots I’m wearing over here.
As said, this pink birthday picnic is just a beginning of my birthday celebration this year. I mean, who says you can only have one day to celebrate your birthday each year? This 20-something birthday girl is certainly celebrating her 20-something birthday all week long. So don’t forget to watch my Insta Story to celebrate my birthday with me. And see all of my birthday outfits. Especially the it birthday party dress.
