While you can still see me dressed in the light blue ripped jeans all over my Instagram today, this is actually what I wore yesterday. Even though, after falling asleep in these ripped jeans while watching the Oscars, sharing my weekend outfit still seems on point to me.
Slightly late this time, well blame it on the Oscars night and Red Carpet moments, I’m sharing my second Sunday outfit today. After wearing the tweed suit to a Sunday brunch yesterday morning, in case you missed it, you can still check it here, I decided to wear something cozier and even more trendy later in a day. Mainly because I went to see my grandma in the afternoon.
WHAT TO WEAR FOR A SUNDAY VISIT TO YOUR GRANDMA
Sure wearing the tweed suit is always a great outfit to wear when seeing your parents and grandparents. Not to mention, I was bragging I wear the tweed suit much better than any tweed savvy grandma. However, I decided to put on the most ripped jeans I have. Yes, the one, I tore some weeks ago, and I already wrote about here.
To put it short, I decided to wear the light blue ripped jeans when visiting grandma this Sunday, for one reason. And no, it has nothing to do with fashion. Well, thinking better it has in a way.
I won’t say I’m proud of the reason behind the outfit I wore when visiting my grandma this weekend because I’m not. But hey, I’m an economist after all. Not mentioning being savvy in finance and equity. Yes, you got it right. I wore the most ripped jeans only to shock my grandma. And you know what? It worked. Meaning, I’m off to the shopping spree this week.
HOW TO WEAR BLUE RIPPED JEANS
I already wrote about one way to wear the light blue ripped jeans in this blog post here. However, I decided for a slight change this time. And take away the elegant feel I tried to achieve the last time. Regardless, I still followed the same formula. Yet the slight change in the colour palette downgraded my outfit entirely.
This time I wore the light ripped jeans with heels and coat in a darker colour, and with a light cotton shirt. Also, I chose materials that are not as fancy as the one I wore in a blog post mentioned. The outfit turned out just as I wanted, very downgraded. Honestly, too downgraded for me as I didn’t feel comfortable. Still, this is my weekend style we are talking about. And as you know my weekend style is all about stepping out of my comfort zone.
After seeing all of the photos of my weekend outfit in light blue ripped jeans, I found the true reason of my discomfort. And believe it or not, it has nothing to do with the ripped jeans. How to, anyway, as they are so comfortable. The main problem was in the blazer. So, a not to be taken here. Don’t wear a blazer under a coat when wearing light blue ripped jeans. To be honest, I have no I idea, why I was wearing it in the first place. After all, it’s not part of my ripped jeans style formula.
ADOP AND SHOP MY STYLE
So to make it clear, to pull this style off, strictly follow my ripped jeans style formula. And don’t get lured by adding any unnecessary clothes to your outfit.
Finally, about what I’m wearing and where to get it. I’m wearing Levi’s jeans, long black coat, jacquard boyfriend blazer, classic blue striped cotton shirt, DKNY mini black tote and Michael Kors brown pumps.
The jeans I’m wearing are actually a result of my DIY ripping project. Don’t worry, I found some fabulous ripped jeans for you and listed to my Chic List. You can find my Ripped Jeans Chic List here.
Almost forgot to mention the makeup I’m wearing this Friday. Nothing special, though. I’m wearing dark velvet Burberry lipstick, Burberry plum eyeshadows and Dior rosy blush and mascara. You can find all the products I used in a gallery bellow.

In case you are wondering, I was strolling through the centre of Ljubljana before heading off to grandma’s yesterday. Ps. Could you say I was the one who tore this light blue ripped jeans?
