Sweater weather at the office? You know what I mean. Especially if you are just like me always feeling cold not to say freezing and want to snuggle in a soft, warm sweater. All year long! But can you wear a sweater at the office and look dressed up to the business code? Bien sûr! You just need to dress up the sweater, and you are all good.

HOW TO DRESS UP SWEATER IN EVERY SEASON

So, basically, to dress up the sweater regardless of the season, you need to know three things. First, keep it minimal. Second, style your sweater with something tailored. Last but not least, put on fancy shoes. Yes, when dressing up a pullover for work or even more for a party, shoes matter more than you might first think.

Remember, beige, brown and other natural colours are the most fashionable colours to wear in winter 2021 and spring summer 2021. Anc crochet sweater is fashionable again.

WINTER SWEATER OUTFITS

First, how to dress up a sweater for work or party in winter. Still, I’m giving you merly a quick preview of my favourite winter work sweater outfits for now. We don’t want the winter to come too soon, do we?

1 CABLE KNIT SWEATER WITH VINYL PANTS, CAPE AND BLACK ANKLE BOOTS

The same cable knit sweater and vinyl pants like the ones we wore in fall but dressed up with a cape and black lace booties from Fendi this time.

2 CABLE KNIT SWEATER WITH BLACK SUIT AND BLACK ANKLE BOOTS

I dressed up my chunky cable knit Max Mara sweater (US click here to buy, EU click here) by wearing it with a black pantsuit and black ankle boots.

DRESSING UP SWEATER IN BETWEEN SEASONS

Before we scroll down to spring sweater outfits – an outfit with sweater you can wear in between seasons. Indeed, this sweater work outfit is the coolest transitional outfit for any boss lady.

SPRING SWEATER OUTFITS

Just for you, who are thinking about spring already – how to dress up a sweater for spring and summer!

Basically, we are wearing the same outfit as we will in fall, only taking off the trench coat and wearing the beige crew neck sweater alone. Getting rid of the chunky turtlenecks once it starts warming up feels so liberating, doesn’t it?

3 BEIGE SWEATER WITH BLACK SLACKS AND MULES

The first outfit I want you to see and wear is this staple office to party look. Golden Malone Souliers mules (shop here US or shop here EU) add the dressy vibe to the simple beige sweater instantly. And power you up the moment you step in them.

Dress up a crew neck sweater like this, and you will be ready to close any deal and lit up any after-work party. Just make sure you wear slightly tapered pants to show your new shoes.

4 BEIGE SWEATER WITH MIDI PLEATED SKIRT AND BLUE PUMPS

Next, we are dressing up the same crew neck sweater from Mango (EU shop here, US shop here) with the eclipse blue midi pleated skirt. Since pleats are still in style, dressing up a beige sweater like this feels more appropriate for spring.

SUMMER SWEATER OUTFITS

Obviously, we don’t wear chunky knits in summer. But we do wear thin short sleeved sweaters 9-5 weekdays and crochet sweaters for the weekends. Here is how to dress up the summer knits.

5 CROCHET SWEATER UNDER WHITE BLAZER WITH WIDE-LEG PANTS AND SANDALS

While it feels comfortable, a crochet sweater is not warm at all. And dressing up a crochet sweater like this, under the white blazer, is just what you should do if you want to wear a crochet sweater for a party on a cold summer day.

Be sure to swap the bag and shoes if you want to wear a crochet sweater for work too. As you know, open toe sandals are not one of the boss-approved shoes. Well, neither is a crochet sweater. Unless you wear it under the blazer, of course.

6 CROCHET SWEATER AND WHITE SUIT WITH STATEMENT SHOES

For work, wear a crochet sweater with a white suit and statement shoes. Again, closed toe heels for work and these stunning sandals, from Aquazzura that I’m wearing here, for after work party.

FALL SWEATER OUTFITS

Lastly, a classic cable knit camel sweater for fall 2021. This camel sweater looks so chic under a cookie camel trench coat, doesn’t it?

7 CREW NECK SWEATER UNDER THE CAMEL TRENCH COAT WITH BLACK PANTS AND MULES

For autumn 2021, we are dressing up a beige sweater with black pants and mules. But as mentioned, adding one more layer. The classic beige Kensington Burberry trench coat (US shop here, AU shop here and EU shop over here). Ps. My trench coat comes with a detachable hood. Which gives you more ways to style the classic Kensington trench coat.

8 CAMEL CREW NECK SWEATER UNDER BEIGE TRENCH COAT WITH MIDI PLEATED SKIRT AND BLUE PUMPS

Another way to dress up a sweater is to style it with a blue midi skirt and blue pumps. Again, under the camel trench coat. I’m wearing the same trench coat as I did with the slacks and mules above. I only removed the hood.

Now tell me, would you guess this is the same trench coat if I didn’t tell you? I bet you wouldn’t. It truly looks like another trench coat.

By the way, another thing that you will love about this trench coat is its length. This trench coat is long just right to wear it with a midi skirt.

9 CABLE KNIT SWEATER WITH VINYL PANTS AND FLAT MULES

Another great way to dress up a sweater for fall is to style it with vinyl pants and flat mules. Vinyl is still fashionable in 2021. I’m wearing Acne Studios vinyl pants (shop here US, shop here EU).
