Stylish striped wide-leg pants, crochet top, white blazer, pompoms on the sandals and raffia basket bag, suggest only one thing, Friday. Yes, the day when you have to take some extra effort when getting ready in the morning is here. You certainly don’t want to lose any minute of the day on thinking what to wear next. My solution is simple. Dress up straight after you get out of the bed this Friday. Because you never know where the day might take you today.
EARLY IN THE MORNING ON MY WAY TO THE MEETING
MY FRIDAY STYLE
My Style this Friday is pure perfection. I know I’m bragging. But truly, this outfit is all! And I couldn’t feel prouder how perfectly I managed to mix and match the most fashionable fashion trends of the season. The one that smells of the ocean, with those striped and fun trends that scream casual chic street style and finally with those that signal Friday, although funday, is still a work day and lady boss still has some office work to do.
WHEN MY BUSINESS DATE IS BEING LATE
Yes, today I’m wearing all. The crochet top, white blazer, striped wide-leg pants, statement striped sandals with those cute and vibrant beaded pompoms and tassels, and finally the woven raffia tote. With pompoms, of course.
To be clear, I’m pulling off five different fashion trends that separately fit in different situations; in one outfit. An outfit that you can wear from the office to the street and party on the beach. Want to know how? Then keep reading. But first more about the statement bag of the summer.
OUT AND ABOUT
VACATION BAG – THE BASKET RAFFIA BAG
Yes, you got it. The basket raffia bag is the number one bag of this season. And every fashion blogger, including me, is wearing it right now. Surely, most of my fellow bloggers are taking this cute and refreshed bag to vacation. Whereas, I’m taking my new raffia basket bag to the city. Moreover, I’m taking it to work as well. Surely, it seems small to be your new office bag. But believe me, it’s big enough to put in everything a lady boss needs. Ps. In case you forgot what you must carry in your small bag when doing business, check this blog post over here.
HOW TO WEAR BEACH BASKET BAG ON THE STREETS
You can take this for granted; the basket raffia bag is the city bag this season. And you would be surprised how well it works on the streets with basically any outfit. Well, as long as you wear it with at least one tailored or elegant piece. In short, just keep yourself away from anything bohemian, ethereal, and too floaty. Or you might look, you got lost on your way from the hotel to the beach. When you were actually returning to the office after the lunch in the city.
COCKTAIL TIME AND LET’S PARTY
SANDALS FROM THE OFFICE TO THE STREET
Although sandals are a no-no when it comes to business style, I simply couldn’t help myself not to wear my new Tropicana tasselled beaded sandals from Aquazzura to the business meeting today. I made sure my striped and embellished sandals perfectly blended with the striped wide-leg pants. And while the tassels and pompoms covered my toes, these sandals seemed like pumps. Only way much cooler and fashionable.
Surely, I might swap the sandals for some stylish pumps on any other day, this is if I wasn’t fashion blogger in the first place, but Friday lets us wear my type of sandals to the office and business meetings, too. Especially, if you are only stopping by at the office. And you are out on the streets shortly. To meet your friends for a coffee, go shopping and to go for a cocktail or two later in the evening.
HOW TO MIX AND MATCH DIFFERENT STYLES IN ONE OUTFIT
Finally, sharing my style secret about mixing and matching different styles in one outfit this summer. Ps. For all the Aussies, check how to mix and match different styles in almost “winter” time over here.
The secret is in layers and tailoring. Not that this should surprise you anyways. Layers are the staple in the transition time between the seasons. Like right now, when you are almost freezing on your way to work in the morning and sweating on your way to the city after work time and then again feeling chilly when you finally return back home.
As it goes for the tailoring, suits are all this season. Check this post over here to find out what I mean.
WEAR AND SHOP MY STYLE
Guess what? My gorgeous sandals are on the sale now!!! -40 %. No joking! Swipe through the other products that I’m wearing today in the gallery and click on the sandals to go to the store. Or simply click on the photo of my sandals in THE EDIT above. You know, my fashion cheat sheet that will remind you, how to wear five different fashion trends in one outfit on your last day of work before the vacation.
Talking about how to get them, but not mentioning which sandals I’m wearing. So, I’m wearing Tropicana tasselled beaded sandals from Aquazzura (shop here), which I styled with striped wide-leg pants from Michael Kors (shop here), by the way, you saw me wearing these striped wide-leg pants over here and here. Oh and with a bomber jacket over here, too. Back to my outfit. I finished my look with the Nannacay’s ‘Baby Roge’ basket bag aka mini raffia bag with pompoms (shop here).
I’m also wearing a white blazer from Juicy Couture (find similar here) and white crochet top, also from Juicy Couture. Oh, I knew this was a good buy back then in Miami. I got it for chump change (džabe) on -70 % off. Anyway, this top is no longer on sale. But I found similar here and even better one for you over here. Yes, with cold shoulders. Believe me crochet cold shoulder top will be the it top of the summer.
