AW 2018/19 SILHOUETTES YOU DON’T KNOW YET
However, this could be true only if we looked this AW 2018/19 silhouette report on the go while reading five other things at the same time. Whatsoever, after reading this entire article, you will see there are not only the 80s inspired emphasised shoulders that are in style this season. Great news, right?
Especially if you are still having nightmares because of that 80s flashy athleisure clothes, bold shoulders and extra pinched waists. On the other hand, this could be an excellent opportunity to throw back to your childhood and throw a dressing up party with your squad. Wearing all the 80s and 70s clothes you could get in your mothers’ closet. Yes the 70s, too. Plus the 90s. However not your clothes this time. Well unless you can still get into your old cargo pants you wore as a child.
Anyway, there is more about AW2018/19 silhouette trends that you need to know. But before we check the list of all autumn winter 2018/19 silhouette trends we need to remember what silhouettes were in last season. You know, most of them are some are still in. But there are some that are outdated. And completely opposite to the silhouettes we will be wearing this season.
WHAT SILHOUETTES FROM SUMMER 2018 ARE STILL IN FASHION NOW
Surprised to see all these ticks? I told you, most of the silhouettes we wore last season are still in style. What is finally out are drapes of ruffles and off the shoulder. Which makes sense. It’s autumn winter season we are talking about.
Nevertheless, all those SS18 silhouettes that are still in fashion, got an update for fall winter 2018/19. Plus, compared to the previous season, there are more silhouettes in fashion for autumn winter 2018/19. As expected, since this season we are throwing back not only to the 80s but to the 70s and 90s as well. The 90s b* (brunettes) are back!

80s SILHOUETTES ARE STILL HERE
Since I already wrote all about the 80s few months ago, here is just a quick recap and update. You know, to make sure you save all the now fashionable clothes from your mother’s closet before that nasty moth eats them.
And slouchy boots. Although, I doubt she still has them. Well, mine doesn’t. This is why I had to slouch my OTK boots. Ps. Check how I did it and how I wear my slouched boots here.
But if you are not into slouching boots on your own, then here are my favourite slouchy boots that you can get in a day or two.
Yes, bold shoulders are still in. Here is what to shop now. Ps. If you prefer slightly less exaggerated shoulders, then you can wear a prairie dress/blouse/blazer instead. More about that later!
ONE SIDE SHOULDER
Shoulder again! One side shoulder this time. Ps. Everyone chic will wear one side shoulder sequined dress next month.
Do you know how cowboy boots became popular on the streets? It was the film Urban Cowboy from the 1980s that made cowboy boots fashionable shoes worldwide.
Sure, the high of the stiletto pumps we are wearing this season is not as high as in the 80s, but it’s still a stiletto. And it’s still high.
THE 70s SILHOUETTES
Honestly, I was hoping this fashion trend will never come back. And yet, here it is back again. Surely you know I’m not a fan of wide-leg jeans or any other wide-leg pants, but hey, at least we got to get a long wrap dress. And furry coat.
Besides the bell-bottom trousers are not the IT pants of the season. At least not yet!
LONG WRAP DRESS
Yes, the long wrap dress is from the 70s.
Thing better the 70s silhouettes are not that bad at all. You know I love long dresses this season. Especially those in animal print. By the way, have you seen how I styled the snakeskin print dress with chunky sneakers already? Check here if you haven’t. And how I wear my leopard long dress. Over here.
Again not my favourite pants to wear, especially not when made of denim. Nevertheless, I could wear these wide-leg pants you see in the gallery below.
Yes, mini skirts are still in fashion for autumn winter 2018/19. Not a surprise, since mini skirts were stylish in the 70s and in 80s as well.
UNDER THE KNEE BOOTS
Under the knee boots are having its moment this fall. In fact, under the knee boots, either slouched or not, are second the cowboy boots, the most fashionable boots of the season.
They are back! But the platform is not as high as in the 70s or the 90s.
Here is to all you b* (brunettes) born in the 90s. I don’t know about you, but I am skipping this fashion trends. Seriously! I promised myself I will never ever wear anything I wore back in the 90s. The low waist pants (low waist was actually seen on the runways in Milan, but luckily the fashion crowd forgot about it), cosy fleece jackets, tank top. Well, I might make an exception for the slip dress.
Don’t say you thought your favourite fashion IT girls left their fashion career for working at the construction site when you saw them wearing cargo pants on the street. Well, in case they weren’t wearing that orange helmet, they were merely trying to pull off one of this season’s big silhouette trends. The cargo. So yes, this is why all these cargo pants and even cargo vests on the streets.
Go here to see how I wear my new cargo pants with cowboy boots and a blazer.
When bringing up the slip dress, I can’t help myself thinking about Kate Moss in that pink slip dress back in the 90s. Or was it blue? Ha, probably she wore both. Anyway, I’m getting a pink slip dress for myself this season. For the sake of all good 90s.
In case you were already wondering why you simply can’t find any princess coat in the store this season, let me tell you it’s because of this silhouette trend. This season loose silhouettes are very fashionable. Especially the loose and oversized outwear and loose suit and asymmetric hems.
Chunky knits and long oversized cardigans. You can wear it over the shirt or even better as a dress with under the knee boots.
Lastly the long blazer. There is only one thing you need to know about the 2018/19 long blazer. You should wear it as a dress. Ps. Go here for some style inspiration.
I told you silhouettes are contradictory this season. There are loose and oversized silhouettes on the one side and the feminine silhouettes on the other side.
Well, thinking better this silhouette might be a surprise. And I’m ending with it because ladylike silhouette will be fashionable for the next season too.
So what exactly we have in mind when we talk about the feminine silhouettes this season? Only 4 things: DIOR bar jacket (shop here now), peplum, belt and pencil. No, wait! There are also the puff sleeves, ladylike suits (trimmed suites, prairie blazer and pencil skirt), and midi skirts. In short hourglass silhouette, you can easily get if you put on a peplum or cinch your waist with a belt.
Since autumn winter 2018/19 is bringing back What could be more feminine than an hourglass silhouette? Think about pencil skirt, styled with peplum blazer.
I already wrote about the prairie before. Over here, if you missed that post. So not to say anything else, here are my favourite prairie clothes of the season.
