Ups, I’m wearing it again. This striped sweater I mean. I can’t help myself. Just look how good it goes with everything I put on. And this nude tulle skirt, pardon, Zara dress. One word, stunning!
Even though I mentioned the striped sweater I’m wearing; first, this blog post is not about stripes again. This blog post it’s all about another fashion trend of the season. Surely, you must have figured it out by yourself by now. Especially if you read my previous blog post on current fashion trends. Or paid attention to the title of this post. Yes, this blog post is all about the tulle.
FASHION TREND OF THE SEASON: THE TULLE
You must have spotted at least one fashionista wearing a tulle dress or a tulle skirt in last few months. Ever since the Dior’s spring/summer 2017 fashion show, to be exact. You know, the one on which Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of the Dior haute couture, presented that beautiful tulle long dresses with knit lingerie. Doesn’t ring a bell? And if I write, the tulle dresses with their logo written on its thin straps? Or a long tulle skirt under the T-shirt We Should All Be Feminists?
Undoubtedly, the tulle, along with the stripes, is the number one fashion trend of this spring. Especially when in nude or even better in pink.
HOW TO WEAR PASTEL NUDE OR PINK TULLE
I won’t say wearing a tulle, especially when coming in the colour of the season, pink is challenging. It certainly isn’t. Well, if you are a little girl. Things can be slightly more tricky if you are not sweet sixteen, but a young woman in her 20s or 30s. In this case, you must give an edge to this sweet princess look.
4# WAYS TO STYLE A TULLE SKIRT
There are four ways to style a tulle skirt this spring to make your outfit look super fashionable and trendy instead of childish. Not to say silly. Because when wearing a tulle skirt or a tulle dress, especially a pink one, you can easily look like you were playing a princess on your niece’s birthday party.
As said, there are 4 fashionable ways to style a tulle skirt now.
- WITH A LOGO SHIRT
The first one comes straight from Dior’s runway. Yes, you guessed it. You should wear your tulle skirt under a simple white T-shirt with a logo or even better a statement quote. Either of them should be written on the front side of the T-shirt, shouting out you are a woman with a voice.
You can wear your tulle skirt under the T-shirt, or tuck the T-shirt into your skirt. I actually prefer the second one. But will try both of them.
- UNDER A BOMBER JACKET
The second way is to wear a tulle skirt under a bomber jacket. Any bomber jacket. I prefer to wear it under the black and white bomber jacket.
- LINGERIE ON DISPLAY
Same as the first one, this one comes from Dior, too. It’s chic and sensual at the same time.
- WITH STRIPES
Finally, the way I’m wearing my tulle skirt this time. Under the striped sweater or other striped tops. As long as it’s striped. I won’t say this one is my favourite, but it certainly is the most fashionable way to wear a nude tulle skirt.

To wrap up, you wear your tulle midi skirt or tulle midi dress in 4 different ways for a super chic and fashionable look. Either wear it under the bomber jacket, together with a statement logo shirt, over the bold lingerie or as I do, together with some stripes. Whatever style works best for you, there is only one thing I want you to remember. Tulle is not for princesses waiting for their princes to come and save them. It’s for powerful women. So wear it with an edge.
