This time a short update on suits. Short, because I already wrote about the power of pantsuit this week and this outfit is actually only a black version of the white trouser suit I wore earlier this week. There is only one question I must answer you this time. How the fashion hell to style and wear all black suit on the street in the summer?

ME AND MY BLACK SUIT

Anyway, before I share my tips on how to style and how to wear the black pantsuit on the streets this summer, more about my feelings about the black suit. So I wore this outfit the other day, from morning to evening in Ljubljana. I had some early meeting in the city center and later took some time for this shooting, before going to the lunch with mother and later seeing my friends at the club in the evening.

No matter how much I love to wear at least five different outfits in one day, it felt great to stay in the same outfit all day long. A not to drive bags filled with other clothes on the back seat everywhere as usual. When comparing to the all white trouser suit I wore once before over here, wearing a black suit in the summer felt nothing but chic. I felt confident and powerful. And careless. I guess because of all those pompoms I was carrying around attached to my bag and sandals.

BLACK SUMMER SUIT

No matter how we love the black colour, we somehow don’t associate black outfits with sunny summer days. Still, from morning to late evening, there is no other outfit so chic, so fashionable and so hot right now than a black pantsuit. Sexy hot, to be clear. And the best thing about the black summer suit? You can wear it anywhere at anytime. Especially the black trouser suit.

Surely, the black skirt suit is great, too (Ps. I wrote about the power of romantic black mini skirt suit over here), but black trouser suit is the chicest and the most fashionable summer outfit you could be wearing this summer. But you already know this. I mean, there is no way you could miss the suit trend this season.

Anyway, focusing on the black summer suit. While the black suit is that kind of suit you can wear all year long, no matter where you go, there is one thing you need to mind in the summer. Especially when you wear your black pantsuit from morning to evening, from office to the street and club in the evening. And no, I don’t mean the light materials, which indeed might be more suitable in the summer. What I have in mind is even more basic. It’s how you style your black trouser suit and later how you pull off this formal streetwear on the streets.

HOW TO STYLE BLACK PANTSUIT

First, about how to style the black pantsuit. In short, nothing like and yet similar to the white suit. Remember, how I styled the white suit over here? I wore it with a white crochet top, embellished sandals and mini pompom raffia basket bag. Well, yes, with the same sandals and raffia bag, I’m wearing this time.

What’s the difference then? Besides the color of the suit? The top, obviously. If you can wear your white trouser suit with a thick crochet top, things are completely different when it comes to the summer black trouser suit. In short, nothing thick, please. Go for light, even better sheer materials. Moreover, in contrasting colour to your black summer pantsuit. And no, this doesn’t mean you should only wear white tops under the black blazer. Anything light and slightly radiant will do. Not sure what I mean? Check the product galleries to find what tops I’m talking about.

WHAT MATTERS THE MOST

Not to forget to mention shoes and bags. The key is in fun details. Go for embellished sandals. What you should be looking for are strappy sandals with pompoms, tassels, metallic shine, gems and well, even some glitter once for a change.

As it goes for the bags. My advice, go for raffia, rattan or straw bag. Well structured, to be clear. No real deal beach bags in the city, please. After all, we are discussing a black outfit you will wear when going out to the nightclub later. And a beach bag is certainly not that kind of a bag a fashionista would carry to the club.

Knowing how to style the black suit is one thing, but knowing how to wear it with confidence and that careless feeling, is a step further you must take to pull off this black outfit in the summer. Keep reading to find out, how to wear black trouser suit on the streets this summer.

SHOP AND WEAR MY STYLE

You can shop my style directly by clicking on the photo of items in the EDIT (including on the clothes, shoes, and bag that I’m wearing in the EDIT) or clicking on the items in the gallery. Also, shop similar clothes in all of the galleries in this blog post.

You must have recognized the black boyfriend blazer that I’m wearing this time as I wore it so many times before. Remember, the last time I wore it to my trip and brunch by the sea with my friends over here. And I also wore it as a part of a relaxed suit over here.

Under the black boyfriend blazer, I’m wearing floral silk cami from Stella McCartney. You saw me wearing these two together once before, with the black midi vintage pleated skirt I stole from my mother (here).

Anyway, no skirt this time. It’s all about black trousers. I’m wearing skinny black pants I love to wear to the golf course too. Ps. don’t tell anyone, it should be a secret. I mean they are so flexible. Like track pants, just chicer.

FROM FORMAL TO CHIC

Finally, about the shoes and raffia basket bag. You must know them quite well now. Especially, if you follow me on my Instagram. By the way, if you are not following me yet there, we sure must discuss this issue. You don’t want to miss any of my outfits (and famous morning selfies I wrote about here) do you?

Back to the shoes and raffia basket bag. Sandals are from Aquazzura and you can get them here, while the raffia basket bag is from Nannanancy and you can get one similar here. I added the same bag I’m wearing in the gallery and the EDIT, but it’s going out of the stock so quickly, and it might me already sold out by the time you finish reading this post.
