There is no better way to start a new week than thinking of your next travel. Easter holidays are coming soon, and I’m sure you are heading off to some beautiful place. So it’s about time you start thinking of your travel outfit. Either going to cityscape or city break you certainly don’t want to look like a typical tourist with a baseball cap, dressed in old short cargo pants, with white socks peeking from your old trainers and the camera around your neck, do you?
EASTER CITY BREAK
I thought starting with the Easter City Break Outfit would be the best idea. In case you are staying home or going to your hometown this Easter. Who doesn’t want to come back home like a fashionista, right? Or explore some new city in style? Or perfectly blend in with locals when conquering one of the fashion cities. Paris, Milan, London, and NYC, here I come. But first, a quick stop in Ljubljana.
WHAT TO WEAR IN LJUBLJANA
As said, my first outfit inspiration is something you should wear when coming to Ljubljana. This small city in Slovenia, might not be on our fashion map just yet, bet it certainly has some potential. At least on the days when I’m strolling around.
Anyway, Ljubljana street style is a little mix of everything that you can get in Zara and H&M. Sure, you can find some designer pieces, too. However, fashionistas wearing them are usually sitting in front of posh places or hanging at the university library. Or alternatively standing in front of the camera. As far from that, you will see nothing but typical tourists, with a baseball cap, long white socks and all that.
Still, we know some fashion is in play when there is Zara store in the town. So to put it short, stripes, tulle and ripped jeans are on the streets. In Ljubljana, too.
PACKING FOR THE CITY BREAK IN LJUBLJANA
So what to pack for your city break in Ljubljana? I guess you won’t be staying in Ljubljana for the entire weekend. So if you are staying here only for a day or perhaps two.
This is all you need: stripped ripped jeans, ruffled blouse, striped shirt, skirt (tulle, suede or tweed, whatever you prefer), small bag, white heels or fancy flats, and sneakers, in case you decide to walk all the way from the castle back to the old part of the city. You can walk in your heels when going uphill to the castle but should put on something safer when going back. Or simply take the funicular railway.
Oh, and a thin white coat. Although I’m wearing a wool coat in the photos, you should pack a trench coat. After all, it will warm up during the Easter holidays. Ps. Click here and here to see what trench coats I’m wearing in Ljubljana these days.

Don’t worry, Ljubljana is very safe. And you can wear your most valuable bags and lavish jewelry without being worried someone will steal them from you while you hang around the tourist spots.
WEAR MY CITY BREAK STYLE
Finally, about my style, that you can wear when coming to Ljubljana or back to your hometown. I’m hanging around the Ljubljana castle in black and white striped outfit. A white sweater with black stripes, thin Max Mara coat and black ripped jeans from Diesel. I’m also wearing black leather gloves from Burberry, wedge sneakers from Isabel Marant and small white shoulder bag.
EARN THE FASHION STRIPES
Anyway, whatever city you go, you should start planning your Easter City Break Outfit now. Especially if you are going to one of the fashion cities.
