BACK TOGETHER

I’m pretty sure you haven’t beeing mixing red and pink together for a long time. Not to say wearing them. Probably since the kindergarten or from primary school. And that is only if you let your mother, who was still stuck in the 80s, to dress you up early in the morning. Surely, she was just experimenting with your style and then said her daughter picks her own clothes.
I know Ana must be laughing right know. Oh, girl I still feel sorry for you.

Anyway, you can hire your mother as your stylist again, because pink and red are officially back. Together! And yes, even in a way your mother matched them. Actually, it doesn’t even matter how you wear them as long as you wear them together. No, wait! I’m exaggerating. All this excitement over pink and red, you know what I mean. The truth is that matching pink and red will never be as simple as matching black and white. Well, yes. Thanks to our childhood’s trauma.

FORGET THE RULES

First, forget any rules regarding mixing colours you are blindly following. If nothing else, this is not the time to be colour blind. Color mixing is on for real. And when we say mixing, we mean mixing.

BE UNPREDICTABLE

Upgrade the mix and match play. Make unexpected pairings.

LAYER AND CLASH

Yes, let the colours clash. Actually, this is the what it matters the most. Layer colours and let them clashing.

HOW TO STYLE RED AND PINK THEN?

Undoubtedly, wearing pink and red together can be quite challenging. Even when you basically can’t make a red and pink faux pas. The thing with bold colours is that they are meant to frighten. Not you who are wearing them, though. But everyone else. Still, they can scare you too and make you feel self-conscious. Which is hardly ever a good thing.

Regardless, I know just the way how to wear pink and red to look bold, powerful, confident and fashionable. It’s all in bringing neutrals to this pair. You know, what they say, you must cheat to make the relationship work. Well, I’m not sure if everyone really thinks this, but I learned this at the last Fashion Week in Paris. So it must be true.

FASHION CHEATERS

Finally, how to wear red and pink to look fashionable and confident. As said, we need to cheat to make the relationship work. Especially when we talk about the pink and red relationship. We need to find the two of them a lover. Lovers, for each of them actually.

We need to mix red and pink with neutrals. The chicest way to do this is to match pink with white and red with light blue. There are two ways to do this. But more about this later. First, few words about the way I wear red and pink this time.

MY STYLE

There are two ways to wear pink and red in the first place. In brief, you can wear pink and red all over, as an outfit. Or as an accessory. Not both of them are equally good, as fashion prefers being bold and wear this colour pair all over, as an outfit.
Still, this is like jumping into the cold water. No one says you should jump. But they all think you are bold, brave and crazy when doing so.

Anyway, unlike when jumping into the water, you know I’m always the one that jumps in straight away, I decided to go step by step on this one. And simply use this colour duo to upgrade the classic chic outfit.

As you can see I’m wearing pink and red as an accessory this time. I matched the white shirt with pink leather gloves. And white long ruffled trench coat (by the way, the last time I wore this trench coat with the suede skirt and brown over the knee boots) with hot pink top handle bag. Finally, I matched my light blue mum jeans (yes, the same jeans I wore with ruffles and more blues the other day) with red pumps.
