If you are anything like members of my team, who like to take it easy on Mondays and don’t come to the office until noon and start answering emails until after they have finished their fifth cup of coffee than this outfit is what you should be wearing this Monday. The black cape combined with over the knee boots might give a feeling you still haven’t say goodbye to the weekend and not quite ready to start the new week. However, beneath the cape, there is the tweed suit. Reminding you, it’s a new working week after all, and it’s time for you to earn those stripes you wear on the skirt.
WHAT TO WEAR TODAY
Oh no, I’m wearing it again! Even though I ended the last week wearing the same tweed duo (you can see it here), I’m wearing this outfit again. Well, almost in the same way. To put it short, I changed the double-breasted grey coat with the most fashionable type of coat from the New York’s Fashion Week that just ended and from the London’s Fashion Week which is going as I write. Yes, I mean the cape. Anyway, you can read more about the glorious cape in here.
Back to my office outfit that I’m wearing today. As said, I changed the coat and the gloves. I’m wearing pink gloves instead of the black ones I wore on Friday and during the weekend. Obviously, merely because Monday outfit requires some splash of colour. Otherwise, my office outfit would be simple too plain. Not to mention lacking in any kind of work motivation and inspiration. Like Monday itself.
Who can stick to the business code on Monday? Not my team nor my business partners. And following the norm, not me. Luckily I work mainly with foreign companies, who never schedule any business meetings on Monday. So again, I’m allowed to wear the same brown over the knee boots I wore on Friday. In case you missed my Friday’s outfit, here is a link to open that blogpost in a new window and read it after you finish reading this post.
Honestly, wearing these brown OTK boots and the same tweed duo I wore on Friday, makes me question when did the weekend go? All in all, I bet you are asking yourself the same question. Only perhaps not dressed in as stylish outfit as I.
ADOP AND SHOP MY STYLE
Finally about where you can get all the clothes I’m wearing today. I’m wearing Storets short tweed skirt and a black tweed blazer from Marella. As you probably figured out already, I bought this blazer some time ago. And as much as you look I doubt you will find it online. Not to worry, there are many chic tweed blazers you can get in the stores right now. You know it’s all about tweed right now. Undoubtedly, you can find the best tweed blazers from Chanel and Gucci and Marella, of course. And second best from Juicy Couture and Storets.
Actually, you can get a blazer that matches my tweed skirt at Storets as well. Still, I prefer not to wear matching duo right now. And rather take an opportunity to level up the fashion game by wearing more patterns at the same time. In case you missed, I shared how to wear the floral bomber jacket with this tweed skirt I’m wearing today in this post. Almost forgot to mention, where you can get this tweed skirt. Coming from Storets you can find it in Storets online store. If you fancy a designer tweed skirt you can find it in the gallery below.
My OTK Boots come from Stuart Weitzman. Good news, they are finally back in the store. And you can get them by clicking the photo in the gallery.
Now to the black shirt and mini black bag. I’m wearing a black blouse. And no, I’m not wearing the same shirt as on Friday. This time I’m wearing a black blouse. The mini bag is the same.
Almost forgot to come back to the gloves. As said, I’m wearing pink leather gloves this Monday.
