How to get eyebrows on fleek

Some time ago I swiped across a guy who wrote he wants his girl to have real eyebrows. What a jerk, you might say. I think he was right. Brutal as it is for a majority of us girls who are struggling (well, I should stop writing in the first person as I solved this problem) with the brows, Pinterest-perfect drawn eyebrows are ugly.

Luckily, there is a way back to the perfect real eyebrows. You know the combination of your childhood brows that weren’t too thick or too thin and the brows that match your skin tone and hair perfectly. And believe it or not, the way to the perfect eyebrows is much shorter than you might think. There are actually only two things you need to get there.

So, to stop keeping you in secret for too long, the two things I mentioned above are the brow conditioner with keratin proteins (a lash conditioner will do its work as well) and an eyebrow pencil. Yes, I know drawing is still in the game. However, for a short time only. And less obvious this time. Marly to give the final touches and to darken the eyebrows when you accidentally colour them with the foundation.

HOW I DO MY EYEBROWS

This time I used Brow Zam by Benefit. I fall in love with this kit the minute I got it. And as there is actually everything you need for the perfect brows in this beautiful box I thought this will be a got opportunity to show you this fantastic kit and reveal you my secret of my brows.

First: Condition

The most important things come first. As I wrote before, the most essential thing, you need to get real brows is a brow conditioner. This magic, pen in my case, will help your brows to grow back again even if they have completely stopped growing after the years of savagely plucking. The best thing is that your eyebrows will grow back much thicker, fuller, darker and healthier. No, wait. The best thing is that I only needed approximately two weeks for my brows to grow in a perfect line.

Back to the conditioner. For your brows to grow back as fast as mine, you need to apply the conditioner every single day and night. So I advise you to get the conditioner as the one I’m used this time, that is transparent and dries quickly. Many conditioners come in white, so you can’t actually wear them during the day without looking like you have jus came out of the refrigerator.

Second: Fill in the Dots

As mentioned, you can’t go away without any drawing. Though the way to the perfect brows is not that long, a brow pencil is still your best ally. Make sure you get a pencil that allows you to make very thin lines, to fill in the dots slightly. It is important for you to draw only one line at the time and even more that you draw it in a real direction. Don’t forget to blend the lines slightly with the spoolie-brush.

Ps. You might want to help yourself with a Brow mapping tool before you start drawing. However, I prefer to skip this and really fill in only the dots.

Third: Mess up with your brows

One thing is sure, beautiful brows don’t grow in a perfect line. Rather than insisting on a symmetrical perfectly defined eyebrows, grab the brush and mess up with your brows. Always brush your brows upward. Not only will give your brows more real look, it will also make you look younger and fresh.

Fourth: Lift your look

Highlight your brow. Draw a line above and under the brows. I usually don’t bother much with this and use the foundation, while I’m doing my eye makeup. However, I used the High Brow pencil this time, as it came in the box.

  1. I really really wished my natural eyebrows were as perfect as yours. Unfortunately, I did not had enough eyebrows so after drawing them for years I got permanent makeup. I love how it looks but agree with you that natural ones are definitely the prettiest! Lucky you!

    Love,

    1. Thanks. But I have a little secret. Up until three years ago my eyebrows were thin and very light (as I was blond). Then a Dior makeup artist told me to start using dior maximizer mascara on my eyebrows (the one that makes your lashes grow) and after of few weeks my eyebrows became fuller and darker. I stopped using the mascara after three months or so, but my eyebrows still look beautiful. I guess it’s worth of a try 😉
